Spoilers The Blacklist - Season 4 Discussion Thread

No one wants to comment on the fact that Red said he was Keen's father. However it was the "What do you want to hear" kinda admission, so I still don't believe he is her father. That there is someone else out there, probably the Blacklist #1 who is her father. Maybe her mom is #1 and not dead and the real father is #2.

Also I thought that was one of the best Blacklist episodes ever. I've actually really enjoyed this two parter.

At this point, I really, REALLY don't care if he is her father or not. Lizzie is just annoying. All that I care about is Kate/Mr. Kaplan is back on her feet and out in the world. I hope she comes back to kick. Red's. ass.

It doesn't matter who Liz's father is at this point because it doesn't actually resolve anything. Never mind how simple and obvious a DNA test would've been the second Red turned himself in and demanded to work with an unknown rookie who was adopted.

If they try to drag this on even further and say that Katarina Rostova was already pregnant when she met Red, for example, by that point the biological father is completely pointless unless it's someone we've already met on the show.

Sorry to disagree, but that makes no sense what-so-ever. In most things, the simplest answer tends to be the correct one. From the very beginning, it's been obvious that Red was her real father. Nothing else explains his dedication to her well-being and safety, more than anyone else he knows.

I don't know why this is so hard for everyone to believe.

You know what he whispered to him to keep himself alive right?
Lizzie's mom is still alive and he knows where she is.

I agree that much is obvious. And in the end, that will also prove that Red is indeed Lizzie's father.

The only other thing I can think of is Lizzie is NOT her mother's daughter but her mother and Kirk did have a baby that was hidden. (Can't remember the mother's name right now, sorry. If someone posts it, I'll edit this)

The show's needed to give Liz one personality for a long time and it's long past time the mystery of her past were done with. They past the care point with their 'never saw this coming twists' far too often. I don't really care anymore. Spader is still great but now they write of Mr Kaplan for the foreseeable future? There's not a lot of cast to care about on this show other than Red- Dembe, Aram, Navabi, that's it. Unfortunately their not the main cast.

I didn't realize the show was back until Thursday, just in the nick of time to DVR it.

Anyone happen to catch it?

It's not bad, but not exceptional. The best parts, as always, were Spader's scenes.

Still, it's good having the show back.

Pretty lame, I thought. The "I'm the bad guy so I'm going to explain my nefarious plans to you for no apparent reason" was just laughable.

And, didn't Samar commit treason? She gets a slap on the wrist for that? I don't get it.

Poor Aram. The only one doing his job RIGHT and he gets screwed over again and again (and not in a fun way, either).

I never really thought about who was after Red since they have a tendency to bring up new blacklisters you've never heard of before who are suddenly greater threats than all the previous ones.... but it's going to be Mr. Kaplan, isn't it?

God, I hope so. The writing on this show is just dreadful....EXCEPT when it involves Red and his crew. If they don't get back to Mr. Kaplan soon, I'm going to get really annoyed.
