The best romantic DS9 episode

What I loved about "Rejoined" is that they managed to make a kiss between two women tender and moving (and also hot) while keeping it classy. Contrast this to a "seduction" scene in Enterprise where an alien woman was feeling up T'Paul and it seemed like it was the opening scene to a porno. The tragic love story of "Rejoined" was beautifully done.

"Looking for par'Mach in All the Wrong Places" gets my vote too. I think it's a very funny episode. I also love Quark in it.

teacake, I don't remember the episode, because frankly I only watched an ep or two of Enterprise before deciding it wasn't worth my time. All I remember was there was this extremely seductive alien woman on the show and she basically made everyone have the hots for her regardless of their gender or previously shown sexual preference. There's a scene where she somehow winds up in T'Pol's bedroom and ... yeah ... its kind of like she hypnotizes her or something and then she ... well, feels her up. I swear, I'm not exaggerating. I mean granted it's not HBO or anything so we don't see her touching the real naughty places, but the whole scene just seemed very cheap and exploitative to me. All you needed was the cheesy porno music...

Oh yeah that ep. Thanks for finding it I had forgotten all about it. You're right, she definitely feels her up. However I would not compare this to Rejoined which is supposed to be romantic. Rajiin is about exploitation. She exploits the crew but is herself exploited by her masters. If it was presented as romantic or about relationships it would be worth comparing but it isn't. I agree it was cheap feeling, but I would say the same about Troi's rape scene in Nemesis.

I see what you mean, but the point I'm trying to make is in "Rejoined," it wasn't "oh look, two hot women kissing" it was "look at this beautiful, tragic love story," and yeah, it probably helps that it's between two beautiful women (for some viewers), but it's not just happening for titillation's sake. I get that there was obstensibly a story/purpose/plot point between Rajiin's seduction of the crew, but it felt more just like an excuse to make things "sexy" than to facilitate any kind of worthwhile story.

I vote for Crossfire.

While it's a little over-the-top, it's a situation every socially awkward guy has been in. In many ways true to life, even super subtle ones. Great episode of unrequited love.
