The best episode of DS9 - Part One

Emissary
Captive Pursuit
Dramatis Personae
Duet
In the Hands of the Prophets

'The Forsaken'

Because there was never another mention of Pup again.

And because Kira said "My god..." to the Emissary instead of "Prophets! Fuck if I know!"

The only one left to cut is Dramatis Personae. The rest are too good.

Captive Pursuit
Duet

I'm removing Duet because I like all of the other ones remaining better.

Dramatis Personae was a GREAT episode. "It's a CLOCK!" -- Odo jumped back! LOL

Duet is a top-five DS9 episode. Can't cut Duet!

^ Hmm... interesting. Bad writing then, I guess. Because I honestly got the impression that we were supposed to like him.

 And I actually did like him. I found Mullibok quite sympathetic and it's a reason Progress is one of my favourite episodes. The only problem I have with it is the too abrupt ending.

Interesting results....Emissary is a good pilot, but definitely not the best of the season. Interested to see where things go from here!

Yeah, that's a great scene, nothing in Duet matches it. The quality of the writing and acting in that scene, the emotion that was conveyed, beats out anything that Duet managed. I'm still sickened that Avery Brooks lost out on an Emmy nomination that year to Scott Bakula.
