That makes me wonder if Brit's have the same discussions while Americans are clueless about the British accents we hear?

Sf Rabid. There a lot of accents in Britain and they confuse even the Brits.

cornishmen, Yorkshire men, Lanchaster, Liverpool, cockney, and then there is the slang from one shire to another. Tricky.
