The best caracter in Enterprise

I voted Phlox. The character was funny, quirky, insightful. I liked the mix of nice and creepy. And the actor was outstanding (the best on the show in my opinion, on par with Combs). Shran was great too, but I disqualified his for not being a regular.
T'Pol was very interesting, and had the potential of being the best character on the show (Jolene was mind-boggling beautiful, too, which is never a bad thing). But they did some bad choices with the character in my opinion, and that crippled her role on board. Trip was well-developed, but I didn't feel any real connection with him.
Malcolm had promises but was never realized. Hoshi and Travis were nice and cute, but too little developed to really feel anything for them.
That's about all in my opinion.

I was more drawn to Shran and Phlox than any other characters in ENT.
I've barely noticed ENT since TATV aired back in '05. I don't watch reruns on Scifi. The final bowel movement which was TATV really took the wind out of my ENT sails. However, having caught about 15 minutes of a rerun about a week ago I remember why I appreciated Trip's character so much (Trinneer's acting, it sure as hell wasn't the writing

Well, the final battle in WYLB was so rushed and such an anti-climax that it barely matters who I rooted for, does it?!
I did what I think many people do with hard evil characters - I wanted him to deal large amounts of visually interesting punishment, but get beaten in the end.
I think most of the DS9 writers liked the Cardassians much more than they liked the Bajorans. It's twisted perhaps, because the Bajorans were so victimised, but come on - you've got to love the Cardassians!

Agreed. Cardassians were interesting and kinda cool (bloodthirst & fascism nothwistanding), and Bajorans were, well, sorta lame, one-dimensional and predictable. BTW my favorite Cardie character was Damar.
BTW, what's with Archer and the polls? I would think that at least here on ENT board he'd be more popular. And while I do understand why Travis gets no votes, I was under the impression that Hoshi is a popular character, but she's yet to get her first vote. Curious.
Fans of Archer, Hoshi, and Travis may not be online, populating the TrekBBS and voting in this poll at the moment, but they're around.

I like Archer very much, and in many ways he is my favorite character in all of Trek. But this isn't the first poll or discussion thread on the topic, and frankly, I get kind of tired of being made to feel (intentionally or unintentionally) that I am stupid because I like a character whom other people despise. I like Archer, I get him, I have my reasons, and I think they're good ones.
Why would anyone feel 'made to feel' stupid for liking a Star Trek character? Plus, I can't really think of many characters that fans wholeheartedly despise, and Archer surely isn't one of those few (I can see why some despise Wesley or Neelix, but Archer

Without a doubt in my mind, Dr. Phlox.
I generally like the other characters, but for me, Phlox draws me in with his optimism, intelligence and wisdom. I consider him a well developed character that didn't get his due in the series.
