We already have the (interesting) thread, but without the poll.

So here's one with the poll. ;)

Not an ENT fan whatsoever, so I may be the voice of contrarians in this poll.

John Billingsley was the only actor on the show who could make me believe that his character was a real person. Considering some of the pap that he was provided with, that was no small feat.

Didn't much think that any of the others had any real acting chops. This may have been a result of the poor writing and characterizations, but I certainly haven't seen any of these guys or gals tearing it up on the screen - big or small. Then again, you could probably say that about most Trek actors from any series.

I voted for John Billingsley, considering his ratio of quality to screentime was consistently high.

Jolene Blalock.

I don't care if she's been absolutely horrible in every other thing she's been in. I haven't seen her in anything else, so I'll have to take other people's word for it. However, as far as I'm concerned, she railed the role of T'Pol perfectly.

John Billingsley comes in a close second with Connor Trinneer close on his heels.

Scott Bakula did a pretty good job. I think most of the fault with Archer's character rests with the writers, not the actor. He did the best he could with the material. After all, he's definitely a good actor. One viewing of Quantum Leap will prove that.

Dominic Keating and Linda Park both showed glimmers of promise, but unfortunately were never really allowed to shine.

Anthony Montgomery.... .... .... .... .... what character did he play again?

I've only seen her guest starring role in Legend of the Seeker and I think she did just fine with that.

I think she became more comfortable playing T'Pol in the 3rd and 4th seasons. She wasn't terrible at all in the first or second seasons, but it just seemed to fit better later in the series. But, that could be more the writing than the acting. ;)

Connor gets my vote. Billingsly is a very close second.

I haven't seen ENT since its initial airing here. I miss it, and VOY too. Has anyone ever had success in prompting a local station to add old reruns to a late-night lineup? Here, now, WXIN Fox-59 is running through the lengthy old catalogue of TNG episodes, at 1 AM weekdays, but I don't think they decided to do that based on any big hue-and-cry from fans. Tips, anyone?

I've only seen ENT on SyFy... however, if you go to hulu.com -- all the episodes are online. ;)

agreed on everyone really doing a great job. should be another poll on guest stars, or no core group. Jeff Coombs as Shran would get my vote. He's great.

Going solely on the first series, I went for Blalock as she played T'Pol, a Vulcan with emotions just under the surface, very well. She did not make her emotions obvious, nor did she act as though she had achieved kolinahr, it came through in subtle glimpses.

I voted Jolene Blalock. I think all of them are great actors, except Montgomery - he was just bad. Blalock did fantastic job, especially with those facial expressions... and although all of them were great, her role seemed to be the hardest, simply because playing a Vulcan you have fewer options to express yourself.

....you guys left out Porthos.

I thought Conner did a great job as Trip. He just made the character feel deep.

In descending order, mine would be Trinneer, Blalock and... Keating. My three favourite character go in the same order too, Trip, T'Pol and Malcolm.

I loved Bakula in Quantum Leap and, while I can appreciate what he was trying to do with Archer, it just didn't work for me most of the time.

Billingsley was great at Phlox but neither the actor or character we my favourites.

As for the other two, wasted characters and if Park and Montgomery can act, I never noticed.
