The Avengers & the Hulk

I find Norton's Incredible Hulk movie to be really good when it focuses on Banner's struggles to contain "the beast", and really mediocre when it comes to fighting villains. Entertaining enough movie, fun to watch, but sort of light and forgettable when it's over.

Kind of like Captain America and Thor and Iron Man 2 now that I think about it.

The Hulk will be CGI and Lou Ferringo will be voicing the character. Hulk as shown in the character art poster will be a lot different looking than the previous two incarnations were.

I dont think the public will want to see this based on the fact The Hulk is in it, but even I know the point of an Avengers movie, is not to see your favourite hero, its to see a team of heroes.

Something tells me this guy would have to disagree with you!

And since the Hulk is also my favourite, I do too. :)

(For the record, though I am somewhat envious, that is NOT my room!)

He's still gonna be big & green, right?

I just hope they keep the height consistent with The Incredible Hulk and that jolly green giant bull crap from Hulk.

He seemed pretty big and green to me in the poster art and yeah as stated before this is the character from "The Incredible Hulk" not "Hulk" we're seeing, just merely recast.

^ Yeah I think that was posted in the "Avengers" discussion thread Proc...unless it wasn't. This is a totally different thread I think.

I'm in two minds about the Hulk.
Perhaps the character was best portrayed in the Bixby series as a kind of truck stop urban legend but part of me wants to see the movie version complete with major property damage etc. etc.

If it's the same, then it's an updated one, because they just shut down 9th Street yesterday. I didn't find that site until last night.

I'm hoping for a chance to try to go downtown and see how close you can get to the shut-down area.

What? I think the poster who linked that was just having a bit of fun. I really don't know why you've singled out the Hulk, we've given reasons why he is being included in the "Avengers". It's fine if you don't like the character but no he's not going to "make" the movie and he very well could be left out of the film. Joss and Marvel have chosen to include him though and set up the ground work to include him with "The Incredible Hulk".

what do you mean he could be left out of the film? If there is a chance that could happen, does that not support my POV?

Yeah im not worried about him "making" the movie.

As for why I have singled out the Hulk, its in the first post, the other characters have good movies behind them, the Hulk on the other hand well I never finished the first one, and ive never felt the need to watch the second one.

I have also accpeted all the reasons given for him being in the movie.

I said in my post they could have chosen to leave Hulk out of the film, but they chose to include him because of the set up work they did in "The Incredible Hulk".

I would love to see the Hulk go on a rampage in the Avengers movie and even possible fighting some of the others.
