The Animated series?

Agreed. Concentrate on the stories and enjoy the voice acting and I think you'll enjoy it.
Also agree. It's nice to be able to hear most of the original actor's voices bringing back their characters. The voices and the stories are the treat. The animation and music is the part that really makes you groan.

A Trek animated show makes you know this could be something that in 2010s would really work in CGI with a wider audience than a "Saturday morning cartoon for 8-12 year olds". Think Star Wars The Clone Wars TV series in high definition with surround sound.

Enjoy TAS for what it's worth. Borrow the DVDs but I would not recommend purchasing them new.

Enjoy TAS for what it's worth. Look at it this way if you've seen all the TOS feature films and all TOS series this is the last chance you're gonna get to see the TOS characters in canon (as it was unofficially canonized much later).
