The annual cicadas are one thing, but the 17 year ones--also known as locusts--are another. It's a B*@ch to even go out to mow, because they are attracted to the sound of lawn-mowers, I'm gonna dig out my bee-bonnet. But I hear ya' about there being fewer fire-flies and grasshoppers, I have also noticed that. Honey bees too which I once used to help a guy "keep."
