OH MY GOD, that is awesome! Thanks for posting it. I would be freaking out over the beauty of that mom and her adorable babies, just like the camera woman was.

Although, technically, it is about cats, in the "Animals That Aren't Dogs or Cats" thread.

"I told you to knock first!"

I started following some new sanctuaries over the last week or two.
Lesley from Bluemont Equine Sanctuary and one of their residents, Xena.

I forgot to mention these were all rescues involved with that big neglect case from last week, that was actually where I started following them.
And I have some rather horrifying news, the woman from Sleepy Pig Farm was live on IG earlier today, and she said that the guy from the neglect is actually working on getting more animals. She said he even has other people working on getting them for him.
Just writing that last part makes me wanna...

It's a compulsion. The CEO of a local non-profit animal rescue was found to have 28 dead dogs and cats inside her home. A neighbor had called police to do a wellness check when to report a "smell of death." The animals were found lying in their own waste, decomposing in cages inside the residence. Investigators believe the animals had been neglected and left in the house for as many as nine months before dying.

Oh, and one other thing she said I remembered after that post is that he also ate some of his animals. Which goes so completely against everything rescues are supposed to be about that it just makes me......

Oh and on top all of this, the cops also found a whole bunch of illegal guns in his possession. So yeah, it sounds like this guy is just a horrible, shitty person.
I was thinking when I first heard about all of this, that I feel really, really bad for anybody who gave this guy their animals, expecting them to be going to real rescue, where be they'd be taken care of, and instead they ended up being abused, neglected and eaten. I'm just glad to know that a 71 of them were saved.
