THat reminds me, Geobeats did a video about Maybe the Emu at The Shore Sanctuary, which is another one I follow out in San Diego.

I did not realize until Ashli from The Shore Sanctuary was talking about it the other day, just how much they still test products on animals. She said that cruelty free productions have this bunny symbol them, so now I know to look for it when I go shopping.

I was really shocked how hard it was to find stuff with that symbol on it.
I also just downloaded one of several apps that will tell you if a company or product is tested on animals.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of PETA, they get a little to crazy for me at times, but the bunny is still a nice way to know something is cruelty free.
We ferrets when I was a kid, they're a lot of fun, but very messy. We actually had 7 of them at one point.

The squirrel that's been in the back yard the past few weeks eating discarded bird seed, it's the same one every time. I can tell by the fur. Do squirrels not tell other squirrels about food sources? Does this one not have friends or family? There are a lot of other squirrels in the neighborhood but it's only that one that comes by.

I’d guess it’s worked long and hard to keep other squirrels away from that food source. They are very determined little competitors!

Camelot was saved by All Seated in a Barn at the Bowie, Texas live stock auction in May. I always love when Talia posts these kind of before and after videos, although his is not as dramatic as some of the others she's posted.

This is Mikey at Arthur's Acres Animal Sanctuary, he has the head tilt and surgical wound on his head because he had to have pieces of his skull removed from his brain after he was attacked by a dog. The people who had him didn't want to pay the $500 for the surgery, so Todd at AAAS took him and got him the surgery.

Monte the Singing Donkey was not happy that his "mawm" went out of town over the weekend.

Looks like an albino monkey with some kind of a medical condition to me. If you look closely, it's eyes look red.
That's what most of these kind of these "what is this animal?" pictures and videos are. A lot of them are animals with mange, but this one's skin looks OK to me. One of the most common examples are dog with mange being called "chupacabras".
