The Admonition doesn't really make sense if you think about it.

It might a circuit that needs to be completed which means if the call isn't completed the circuit doesn't complete it and they are not alerted. A bit binary.

It's not really an alert, though, now is it? It's an invitation. And the Coppelius folks aborted their invitation, so it would be polite to wait and see if they want to call again. The RoboFeds had their feelers out already, and quite possibly could tell that the abort was not due to outside forces, but the Coppelians' own doing. So there's no urgency in waiting for the Coppelians to make up their minds. Perhaps it will take a few more centuries of making up minds till the invitation is again extended. And that's fine with the RoboFeds.

Apparently, that is. And they haven't taken over the universe or converted it into orderly little octahedrons or anything, which means

    1) they lack the might
    2) they lack the will
    3) they have never had a reason to rush to the aid of artificial life before

and out of these three, my bet is on 2. After all, we saw plenty of suggestive might, and it would be statistically pretty darn unlikely for Bruce Maddox to be the Milky Way's first-ever creator of sufficiently distressed artificial life.

That they lack the will doesn't mean they would be automatically benevolent, or that the Ragnarök would not come to pass. Might be there's internal debate on how exactly to eat the Sun or roast the warriors, and this will only be concluded in three hundred thousand more years. But it might also be that there is no Armageddon coming from that direction, and the Admonition was about something else altogether.

I think the admonition was just a trap to unleash hell, period. There was no savior for the synths or the biologics. That thing was more like the Necronomicon waiting to be opened and bring down the Old Ones to ravage everything.
