The Admonition doesn't really make sense if you think about it.

You mean like Commodore Oh’s incredibly stupid plan to get the Federation to ban synths by having them destroy the shipyard that’s producing rescue ships to save Oh’s own people? That’s like me shooting my own family to prove how dangerous guns are.
Well Oh has an entire Federation identity to go back to, maybe she stopped considering the Romulans her people. But I don't know why all the other Romulan Zhat Vash would go along with it... Maybe that's why they needed to be made insane via admonition first.

I'm not really buying that. If she really didn't care about Romulan lives, then why be part of Zhat Vash in the first place? And why have so many Romulans as cohorts if she doesn't care about them? If she only wants artificial life eradicated, she would have all of Starfleet at her disposal to help her. Instead she's using Romulan assets.

My standards are low, but not that low.
So you seriously think they should be capable of showing us what it was that drove people mad?

Again, the point of the visuals was not to try to show us, the TV viewers, what the admonition was exactly. The visuals were meant to show a person receiving the admonition or relaying it to another. There is no way to show us what the admonition truly is.

The actual details of the admonition itself is a McGuffin. The details are unimportant; suffice it to say it is awful and terrible.

Per Chambon.. it is a personal interpreted experiance.. so Oh sees synth monsters, Sutra sees an all powerful Robo Federation.. what is right? Really wish we would have went there and Picard touched it, or Soji.. and explain WHAT it is..

It makes me wonder if Picard would have been as easily brainwashed as Agnes was. Oh could have done it any time during the premiere. But as Picard has dealt with Sarek's mind meld, assimilation, and even that mind probe with the flute, he might be more resistant to the admonition and Oh didn't want to risk it.

Yes. Unsettling imagery combined with unsettling sounds. Something sci-fi and horror genres have been successfully doing for over a century.

All they needed to do was show Fran Drescher talking and laughing. That would have made me want to tear the skin off my face.

Yes, there could be some twist on this, we have to wait for season finale before passing judgement. As to other quadrants or other galaxies they could have built more of these 8-star systems. There is no indication this is the only admonition location.
There would have to be quite a few of them throughout the galaxy, like Buc-ees.

Here's a thought - maybe this Admonition is broken because it's been operating constanly for 200,000 years and the actual message is 'summon us and we'll have tea and cake'. Just get Geordi to fix it, handwave why the Romulans never did and roll credits.

He can say that now, but that's not how it was presented. None of the ten women seeing it in episode 8 is our POV character. The same images are common to all of them. And the same images are in Sutra & Jurati's stock footage montage the next episode.

Isn't that exactly what was implied with the difference with how Sutra interpreted it versus how the organics did?

1. The fleet included 10s of thousands of Synth's who were going to help out with the relief effort on Romulan soil.

2. The admonition included visuals of the attack on Mars. Predestination Paradox? They needed to attack mars to stop a paradox from blowing up the galaxy? The RoboFederation has always only ever been Sutra.

So? If Oh had control of those synths, she could have just had them all destroy themselves like F8 did. Or have them go rogue practically anywhere else in the galaxy except the place where your people’s salvation lies. The rescue fleet would then still have been usable to save the Romulan people.

Then if the admonition showed that, then as a member of the Zhat Vash I would seriously reevaluate my beliefs. What is gained for the Romulans when destroying synthetic life also condemns your own people to death?

That's probably why Oh forced all Zhat Vash members into the Admonition. They had to be made insane to go along with her plan.

The director of the CIA can't send all the foreigners back to foreign land.

They had years worth of Warning about the Supernova.

It was just the poor people who were left behind.

Supernova's must eject harmful stuff at ftl speeds, which is why other systems had to be evacuated.

All conjecture.

Yes. People even in real life can be insane while still being coherent.

Well, she doesn’t seem insane to me. At least nowhere near insane as those other women ended up (the ones that didn’t kill themselves notwithstanding.)
