The Actors in Trek XI Versus the Other Trek Actors

Like I said before, I'd rather avoid these guys entirely for my blood pressures sake, but in the event they try to be friendly with me and try to blow smoke up my ass about how much they are fan of Trek or other bullshit like that, I'm going to give it to them.

If I did run into these guys, I'd want to let, bluntly, let them know that not all Trek fans are happy about this movie being made and their involvement in it.
I'm not going to keep it to myself.

And Im sure they would care about the five whiney fanboys that are so actually worked up over this movie being made, that they would be rude to them about it.:techman:

I don't care if they would care or not.
I would have said what I wanted to say then I would walk away.

I just cannot believe that one would be so worked up over a fucking TV show or movie. There are bigger things in this world. Sure, I love talking Trek with others, but to get this pissed off over a movie one doesn't like, and hasn't seen is something that amazes me.

QFT.

Would you rather I just ignore these cast members?
I refuse to shake their hands or be friendly with them if they did try to talk to me.

I would rather you act like a decent human being and be respectful and cordial to them as you would any other stranger you meet, like a normal person, and not some whack job who is refuses to shake their hand and ignore them because they played in a film that you did not only like, but haven't even seen.

No.
I'm not going to be respectful to someone I do not like.

Not that this hasn't been fascinating in its own bizarre way, but I'll just address the actual topic for a moment, if I may:

I've never met any Trek actors, but think it would really be cool. That being said, I would rather meet a Trek actor from one of the five series than from Trek XI. I just can't see myself being as excited about their contribution to Trek as the actors from the five series. Of course, this is without having seen the film.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like this?
Given I haven't heard of most of them and given the movie is still several months away from release, I can't say at this stage that meeting most of the Trek XI cast would have the same sort of buzz as meeting some of the actors from the series would.

Having said that, there are several actors from the five series I have no interest in meeting, and if I ever got the chance to meet Zachary Quinto you wouldn't see me for dust. :D

Thats the point. YOU DON'T LIKE THEM CAUSE THEY ARE IN A MOVIE YOU DON'T LIKE! How does that brain of yours work? They were in a film you don't like, and because of that you take it personally and are rude to them, the actor and or actress, who is a completely different person then the character they play. It's their job, they are actors. They act. They did nothing to you personally, nothing at all, except star in a movie you hated. I guess because I disliked Star Wars Episode Two: Attack of the Clones, if I ever get the chance to see or meet Natalie Portman, I should hate her and be mean and rude to her if she tried to talk to me. How the hell does that work?:wtf:

Do what you want to with Portman should you meet her. I don't care.
I'm going to make some lemonade out of this lemon of a movie unofficially called Star Trek XI and tell these people what I really think about them should I get the chance.

Well the movie is officially called Star Trek whether you like it or not, so thats not an issue. This lemon of a movie as you say will probably breathe life into a stagnant franchise, and turn it from a something others laugh at and say nerd to, into a franchise that can go somewhat mainstream and earn money for the franchise.

If you don't like that, go watch some of the other 700 hrs of Trek there is, but stop coming on here bitching and bashing a film you haven't seen just because you don't agree with the concept. We get your opinion, and there is nothing that Abrams and company can do or say to make you happy, other then taking the film, throwing it into a furnace, and denying it ever existed. But seeing as how its not gonna happen, you might as well not waste the hot air you are blowing and keep it to yourself.

I don't give a rat's ass what it's called.
I don't like it and I'm going to try to have some fun out of it should I meet someone like Quinto by telling him to his face that he's a fraud. That's if I do run into him out of shee luck.
I don't go to conventions looking for trouble.
If the opportunity presents itself to tell him what I think about him and his piece of shit movie, then I'll take it.

BTW, the original poster asked if anyone else wasn't excited about meeting the cast of Trek XI.
I'm in that category and should be allowed to say so.

You must be twelve, there is no way you are an adult human being.

As for the rest of your opinions about this movie, and its actors:

:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

I'm done.

I thought I was addressing the actual topic.
You've made your utter loathing of absolutely everything about a yet-to-be-released movie absolutely crystal clear in just about every thread you've posted in on this board of late. The topic of those threads seems to be incidental at times.

Nowhere in my earlier post did I address you specifically.

Just like the Hilton is leaving behind you and your silly attachment to the Star Trek Experience.
