Spoilers The Acolyte

I never thought about how someone must have let her out of the trash compactor in time to escape Starkiller Base.

Highly unlikely!

Trying to pick the worst character among Rey, Finn, Poe, and Rose is like trying to pick the worst character among Luke, Leia, Han, and Lando. It's a pointless exercise that can't result in the selection of a character that's actually bad.
Well that’s Lando easily. :)

I don't really mind Rose. She serves her purpose in TLJ and since she barely gets anything at all to do in TROS she's pretty much a non-entity in the final film of that trilogy. Her sister Paige who dies in the Resistance bomber raid at the start of Episode VIII intrigues me more and I wish she'd survived just so her character could have gotten a little more fleshing out. That girl had some serious cojones and sacrificed herself to get her mission accomplished.

I’m sure there is a comic or something that explains that
There is

Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Captain Phasma
What happened to Captain Phasma after Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens? Writer Kelly Thompson (HAWKEYE) and artist Marco Checchetto (AVENGERS WORLD, PUNISHER, GAMORA) expand Captain Phasma's story and reveal how she escaped the destruction of Starkiller Base. It's the stunning lead-in to this winter's blockbuster big-screen Star Wars film, and everything you need to know is right here!

Agreed. Honestly, if I were to pick a character I'd eliminate it would be Poe.

He's a scoundrel, like Han. I wouldn't consider him bad, by the conventional definition, just... somewhat morally ambiguous but with a small dash of scruples when push comes to shove.
Yeah, I realized there was some ambiguity in what I was asking/saying. I meant bad character as in poorly conceived, not bad as in, like, an evil character.

In context of what was initially quoted it might have been clearer.

Understood. I think there are a lot of characters in the LucasVerse that were poorly conceived (none worse than Jar Jar, IMO).

Lando was definitely a little awkward in the beginning, but I think he eventually came into his own and became a valuable member of the Rebellion.

I even found his younger self in the "Solo" movie to be pretty interesting. Filled in a lot of backstory that many have wondered about for decades.

His carrying of Han's torch in the sequel trilogy as a major representative of the legacy heroes, as well as a mentor for the next generation was touching, if not entirely essential.

In the end, it was a small bushel of Membeberries, for the most part, but not offensively so. :)

So... I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but I really love the OT. I've seen "The Mandalorian" and found it entertaining enough, I liked the "Obi Wan" miniseries, have seen "Boba Fett" and found it meh. I'm usually not a big animation fan and am not so deep into Star Wars to care for animated shows.

I really liked "Andor" and have now started with season 2. That kind of rekindled my interest in Star Wars, so I'm catching up with "Ahsoka" now, which seems sufficiently entertaining so far.

Long story short... My question now is: Is it worth watching "The Acolyte"? I understand the show has been cancelled. And that it got quite some hate. Is it worth watching after all, or don't I miss much by skipping it?

Has it an open ending, btw, so cancellation is really an argument against it?
