Spoilers The Acolyte

And I think a lot of people went into this expecting this to show us the Jedi at the best during the height of their power, and were disappointed when they were presented in a more negative light.
I have to say, after rewatching some of AOTC recently I was reminded that the Jedi hiding things from the Senate was established in that film. So there's at least some precedent for such things.

I think the Jedi were portrayed as consistent with the Prequel portrayal.

I think there are genuine criticisms of The Acolyte, just like I think there are with anything else. But, I think the Acolyte, like Book of Boba Fett, was weighed down by expectations to a certain degree. I saw many posting how they wanted a Sith oriented show or talking about the path of a Dark Side student in their power and growth. They were not expecting the flashback and different points of view storytelling culminating in most of the Jedi we started with dying.

What I think is more unfair is saying "well all the Jedi suck now and they shouldn't." I would not take Sol's team as a condemnation of the Jedi as a whole, nor would I say that Qimir is shown to be right. There is a tragic aura to the show around how mistakes and self centered interest lead to tragedy.

If there is the taking of the show as a condemnation of all I think that is missing the point.

I'm on my first real rewatch of the Show. I just listened to/watched TPM and AoTC just now and I think I will watch The Clone Wars 2-D Microseries Vol. 1 and part of Volume 2, then Cat and Mouse and Hidden Enemy of TCW CGI, then maybe tomorrow continue watching Acolyte from where I left off. I left off on the Episode Teach/Corrupt after Osha put on the Cortosis mask. I really like the show.

I really hope we get Stranger/Qimir and Plagueis action figures out of this series even if the only ones that get made are of one scale and not the other. Hasbro pipelined Indara and Yord in 3.75" and Vernestra, Bazil and Kelnacca in 6".

Plagueis:

We also got Indara in 6" scale as well as Sol, Mae and Osha in both 3.75-inch and 6".

I had really been hoping we would have seen a LOT more of the "High Republic" galaxy. Instead, most of the action takes place on a leafy backwater. I can't believe this show cost as much as it did.
