Spoilers The Acolyte

This was a shocking episode's!
I don't like Osha and Mae very much. Mae must really hate the Jedi even when they sacrifice their lives for her.

I was shocked by the deaths of Yord and Jecki, they both died brutal. I liked tem both and wanted to learn more of them. Maybe the reason why Jecki could hold her own for a while was because she was still training with her lightsabers forms , and wasn't as arrogant as the other Jedi?

I take it Jecki was somewhat of a prodigy. Kind of like Ahsoka a hundred or so years later. She died via being too aggressive (gave in a bit to her anger?) and a surprise weapon. Concealed blade/shoto might also be a counter to a lightwhip, so Venestra is also in danger when she shows up.

When you're fed lies and believe they killed your family it might have an influence.

Ofcourse she wasn't stable when she tried to kill her sister when she set the room on fire.
But still if you see that your master hurts your sister and 6(?) Jedi are trying to save her live?
Another good reason to see next episode!

I also wonder if Mae was not controlled that day. The black eyes thing that Osha seeing in her vision. (or if it was Osha that was controlled for that matter). There is a lot from that day we don't know. Judging by the directors, we'll get that story told in episode 7.

Interestingly, in the new canon timeline groupings for projects, there is an "Old Republic" setting that they are not using for any known projects. They have the High Republic and the Dawn of the Jedi era projects, but nothing in that very large 25,000 year gap.
We do have the James Mangold Dawn of the Jedi coming up sometime soonish.
Still enjoying the show so far, even though it was obvious Qimir (aka Smilo Ren  ) was her master.

Sol has quickly become one of my favorite Jedi.
From the EW interview, it sounds like they didn't put a lot of effort into hiding The Stranger's identity, Lesley Headland said she was pretty sure most people were going to figure it out.

Better than Bazil Fawlty.

I’m just gonna leave this here…

Odd indeed. Makes no sense whatsoever. Extra hate-watchers on top of those who actually enjoy the shows, maybe?

Are these numbers based on actual episode views (the traditional metric for ratings) or user star-ratings? The chart's scale is definitely not based on views, and star-ratings only go up to 5 and this chart goes up to 8. Is it based on the old Nielson scale or something else?

The number of user ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, after three episodes of TA:

  • The Acolyte – 25,000
  • The Mandalorian – 17,500
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi – 10,000
  • The Clone Wars – 6,000
  • Andor – 5,000
  • Ahsoka – 5,000
  • The Book of Boba Fett – 2,500
  • Rebels – 2,000

Three episodes of TA got more ratings than three seasons of Mando, 2.5x all of OWK, and quintuple Andor. What’s driving raters to RT in such droves?

The article says only that it is “based on the monitoring of 20 million monthly viewing decisions.” How exactly they monitor viewing decisions I don’t know, but it doesn’t sound like it involves star-ratings.
