Spoilers The Acolyte

Bazil Brush surely?

That was both infuriatingly good and infuriatingly bad all at the same time.

Fantastic action, and it is always nice to see Manny Jacinto not playing the comedy idiot (despite how well he does it). The deaths of Yord and Jecki were genuinely shocking as I liked both characters.

On the downside I'm so done with the twins swap places trope (and have probably been done with it for about 30 years now) and I'm done with Mae's flip flopping motivations, but maybe even she doesn't know what she wants. You'd think the fact that a bunch of Jedi just sacrificed themselves to save her life might have some impact, or that after finding her sister alive again after all this time she might not immediately leave her to a presumed death, either from the elements/her wounds or from Qmir's lightsabre.

Hopefully they won't drag this out too long and Sol won't be a complete idiot for several episodes.

She doesn't know what she want. She was raised one way and has to find a new way. Her truth, her world, is upside down.

Yes, she doesn't know what she wants. Why should the death of those she hated have an impact, even as she considers that her master is wrong? She's already had a huge amount of death in her life.

Sounds like song lyrics from somewhere...

Interestingly, in the new canon timeline groupings for projects, there is an "Old Republic" setting that they are not using for any known projects. They have the High Republic and the Dawn of the Jedi era projects, but nothing in that very large 25,000 year gap.

I think the Old Republic era will more or less be the same as we have currently since they are remaking the first game and the MMO is still very popular

When Sol asked The Stranger to remove his helmet, the latter refused, saying it would allow the former to read his thoughts. Then he loses his helmet, but Sol doesn’t read his thoughts. Why not?

I don't think Qimir was remotely worried about Sol reading his thoughts, he was getting in a dig at Sol for what happened a few episodes ago. Basically torturing Sol for being in the same room, even violating his mind, and STILL not connecting the dots to his true identity.

My reaction during the fight:
Dang, she is a beast!
Oh! Well, she could... oh.... well nevermind. :(

I really need to stop getting attached to side characters. Every time there's a non-main character I enjoy, they're pushing up daisies in short order. It's happened in Star Trek and Stargate many times, and now it's happened here, twice!

Also, until they come up with a proper Sith (or whatever) name for him, I'm totally calling him Smilo Ren. :D

Jecki's defeat probably hit me the hardest. I am somewhat curious how she was able to wobble her way through single-boken Padawan training one episode and then, not long after, be highly proficient in twin sabre dueling (scarily so) with a Sith who just single-handedly wiped out nearly all the other masters in relatively short order. This particular Star Wars series seems to stretch suspension-of-disbelief a bit more than most, but it was still a great scene. Jecki gave her all and went down righteously.

I think he’s toying with her, putting on a show for Mae. When Mae leaves, the show’s over, he kicks Jecki to the ground and goes after Mae.

Later, when Jecki engages him one-on-one “for real” after becoming separated from Sol, she lasts ten seconds.
