The 11 Doctors Action Figure Set

I'm guessing it's his. And I quite like that idea. It never occurred to me as a variant for the Ninth.

The Fifth and Master look good. I saw those, and the First with Tardis elsewhere online and I do think they're legit. Although I'm actually a tad miffed at the First with the Tardis. If I'd known that was in the pipeline (and it's real) I'd never have bought the UC First Doctor on his own. In fact, he'll be going up for sale quite quickly if the set is actually released.

It's not my photoshop but it is a photoshop job that someone posted on Gallifrey Base.

I'm sure a lot of people will be cutsomising 8 and 9 figures because there is the possibility that 8 was the one who started to wear the leathers. :)

I dont know about that, it seems to be pretty key to the invidual Doctors idenity that they change outfits.

I kinda assume the 9th Doctor finished the Time War in 8ths clothing, and then changed.

One thing I wonder is, did the other 10th Doctor change his outfit, to be more in keeping with who he was, and help himself feel lime more of an inivudal, the flip side of this being that the more he changed, the less Rose would see him as the Doctor.

That said do we really believe it was happily ever after for Rose & the other 10th Doctor, on Petes World?

I'm tempted, but I already have figures of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 11, so I think I'll wait until they release 8 on his own (let's hope they do). Isn't there a TARDIS playset with the Seventh Doctor coming out soon? I remember seeing a picture of it somewhere.

My thoughts are the same as wamdue's. I think that the Ninth regenerated and had an adventure or two in the Eighth's clothes before he switched to his outfit. I've always thought the picture of him, with the family he saved from boarding the Titanic, took place shortly after his regeneration since the Doctor rarely, if ever, changes his clothes to "fit in".

And I'm in full agreement with Shazam!'s sentiments regarding that new Dalek.

Wow. I'm in an agreeable mood this morning. Just not agreeable enough to buy one of those daft new Daleks.

Well, at least this time, Five has a hat. Other than that, this is the Time Crash figure without even a repainting.

I'll be skipping the Eleventh Doctor with that daft Dalek.

I'm tempted by the Fifth (with hat) and the Master.

And releasing a regen Fifth before we get the Series 18 Fourth is just... well, "bullshit" comes to mind.

As a Dalek whore I'll have to get the new Daleks.

I'll definitely be getting the Master and the Fifth with hat but I wish the Master was in his iconic velvety get up.

I think I will skip the regen 5th and eagerly await the inevitable Season 18 4th Doctor. If they don't release a S18 4th then I'll have to buy the regen 5th in order to decapitate and swap with one of my spare 4 heads.

Really, there just aren't many variants you can make for the Ninth beyond changing the colour of his jumper.
What about changing his leather jacket? I could swear there are some episodes where it looks like a newish black jacket, and others where it looks like a very weathered brownish jacket. Could be the lighting, I suppose, but the differences seem too striking for that to be the explanation.

I think that comes down to the lighting. I can't say I've ever looked that closely myself though. And really, would minor variations in the jacket make those variants worth buying? ;)

To be honest, I'm already starting to suffer "figure fatigue". My purchasing will be very, very selective from now because I feel like CO is just releasing any old crap to get us to buy it.

That! I've got an Eleventh Doctor figure already. I'll have two by the time I get the ELEVEN DOCTORS set. So, no more.

BUT, I will be getting both Davison's and the Ainley. Love it! :techman:

About the Ainley Master... It looks to me like they just stuck his head on the John Simm Master's body. For an SDCC exclusive, they could have at least done the sculpt for his usual outfit.

That's the general consensus on GallifreyBase. As I said up thread I would have preferred the Ainley Master in his iconic velvety get up.

I hope they release a Delgado Master someday too.

It does seem odd. Maybe there was a last minute decision to switch heads? Delgado was big on the suit and tie look as I recall.

A lot of my collecting enthusiasm is waning.

Between the lazy short cuts, such as painting only one side of the PoM Tom's scarf and sticking the Ainley Master's head on the Simm Master's body (Seriously, an SDCC exclusive isn't worthy of a new scuplt in the Ainley Master's proper attire???) to having the 11th Doctor Crash set producing two different heights for the 11th when you stand the "Raggedy Doctor" next to the 11th in his tweed and bow tie to the complete lack of supply meeting demand with the McCoy figures and Earthshock Cybermen...

It feels like CO have let the success of the classic and revived series lines get the better of them and now they're just shoving things out knowing people will buy regardless.

Only when business on present day Earth warranted it, Delgado's iconic look was the Nehru jacket.
That SDCC Ainley is actually Kamelion-as-the-Master from Planet of Fire - I'd guess a velvet suit Ainley will then follow solo.
