No. I find the negative reaction confusing. You find it confusing people are speculating in a forum that is literally about speculating on future projects?

No. I find the negative reaction confusing.
How about the positive ones?I do think the negative reactions are pre-mature. We know zero about the show except some vague comparisons.
I believe people can grow. I don't see a reason to be negative. Not enough information.People by nature are not neutral on first reactions.

Yes.If this Premise was submitted as a fan proposal on this forum 2 years ago with a poll on whether it sounds good or bad, you honesty would find it confusing if most people voted Negative?

Yes.
Okie dokieOkay we part ways here then. Because I'm pretty sure a show about Federation outsiders being broadcast to the quadrant ( as premise, in a vacuum) would not get allot of people excited as a premise for StarTrek
I will be positive and say the premise doesn't immediately put me off in the way that Starfleet Academy and Section 31 does. Mostly because I've never had any reason to ever imagine it or form an opinion about it until now, and I'm still not sure what it even is.
Someone who's truly neutral doesn't push so hard. It's okay to say you're looking forward to this.Maybe I'm just neutral on this but I don't have enough info to weigh in.
~ I think this sounds AWESOME! I love Lower Decks and (most of) the fun, comedic episodes of other Trek, so this news is really exciting!![]()
New ‘Star Trek’ Series in the Works from Justin Simien, Tawny Newsome
The 'Dear White People' filmmaker and 'Lower Decks' voice star are working with Alex Kurtzman on a live-action comedy.www.hollywoodreporter.com
- "The new series is intended to be an action comedy that, according to Paramount, centers on Federation outsiders who are serving on a gleaming resort planet. Not only that, their day-to-day exploits are being broadcast to the entire quadrant.
Sources have said the show may have workplace comedy tones of The Office or Parks and Recreation.
Simien, Newsome and Trek franchise czar Alex Kurtzman will write and executive produce the series. Aaron Baiers, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are also exec producing. CBS Studios is producing the show.
The show, if it goes to series, would join a line-up of live-action and animated series that includes Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks and the upcoming Starfleet Academy."
He’s said before he’s done with coming back in live action as long as it’s not a starring role because of the makeup time.I can't wait to see it. Loved Office and other similar comedies and can't wait to see similar show set in the Star Trek universe.
I wonder if Armin Shimerman would be up to coming back as Quark full time? Or at least as a regular guest star. He would fit right in.
Well there is the thing about the characters being Federation outsiders. Why would they?
