Taika Waititi to write and direct Thor 4

Has very Game of Thrones vibes to it (I had to double check it wasn't Ramin Djawadi for a second). But with the Ragnarok flair towards the end.

Overwhelmingly bad buzz for this movie online right now. The only time I've seen buzz this bad was morbius lol

:vulcan: All the early impressions I can find seem to love it.

I'm sure certain parts of youtube/the internet are probably complaining without even having seen it, but overall the "buzz" is generally really liking it.

I was going to come in and say the same thing, but you already provided the links.

Almost all of the Twitter reactions from the people at the premiere seemed to be really positive too.

I was fooled by what appears to be an organized smear campaign by Snyder fans on Twitter. Not sure wtf their problem is.

The same problem Snyder obsessed fans have with most MCU films, especially the colorful and joyful looking ones, I'd assume. Love & Thunder (and Ragnarok before it) are just about the most opposite to Snyder style films the MCU has made (matched maybe by GotG 1 & 2), and the really Snyder obsessed people have always hated that stuff, even more so now that Snyder style DC films are 100% done.

Its the MCU with even more color and fun, so the really obsessed Snyder fans react to it like a vampire getting drenched by holy water.

What the hell has happened with Thor? Jeff Goldblum and Peter Dinklage have also been cut from the film. Did they run out of time to get it finished?
Damn, I hadn't heard that Goldblum's scene was cut, nor did I know Dinklage had even been confirmed (I know he was heavily rumored and he sort of confirmed it).

Hopefully those scenes will be restored at a later date...

I wonder if the deleted scene with Lena Headey was also the same deleted scene with Peter Dinklage? That would have gotten a laugh out of the audience.
That would've been magnificent.

Apparently there's around 4 hours of footage shot for the movie, so that's almost 2 hours cut.
Dammmmnnn...

Give me the #FourHourCut!

Even they aren't included in an alternate cut of the movie, I wouldn't be surprised if they were at least included as extras on the discs and Disney+ when they're released.

What's a "Snyder style" film? There are still films in the Snyderverse slated to come out.

You know that the Snyderverse is effectively dead, with an already shot movie to reboot every part that doesn't work (aka everything except stuff involving Shazam, Aquaman, The Suicide Squad and maybe WW). Regardless of that movie's status, Snyder's stuff is done.

But, keep that out of this thread. We already have a tread/holding cell for random Snyder stuff coming into other threads, especially MCU threads. Please go there to try to pretend that the Snyderverse still exists, or whatever, I've read it all before anyway and am beyond done with Snyder stans.

I actually think you're right on that, but I'm going to add that it is being bombed by Incels who despise the "strong women" themes of the film.

The professional reviews started coming out today and 'good but not great' seems to be the main theme. I'm disappointed but not surprised to see that Christian Bale's Gorr is getting treated as somewhat of an afterthought, much the same way Christopher Eccleston's Malekith was. I hope that they go back and do an extended version of the movie to expand his role and add back all the big name actors that got cut out.

Looks like I was actually right in the first place and it isn't just a Snyder fans thing. One of the worst reviewed movies in MCU history. Beginning of the end of the comics movies golden age???
