can we makes that no one dies, too as dying is bäh?No, but it is my contention that the approach to writing can translate and that it may be a valid approach.
Far from definitive, just trying to explain my initial statement

Ah come on mate, you know that wasn't what I was saying.can we makes that no one dies, too as dying is bäh?
why would you want to avoid it in the first place? real people swear a lot especially when they are in dire straits which is exactly where we want them on tv - would you watch a guy on a lawnmower having a totally uneventfull day of work? that guy will probably swear at an anoying bee at around 15:26:48, though.Ah come on mate, you know that wasn't what I was saying.
I've defended swearing quite voiceiferously in this thread also.
I disagree wholeheartedly with the guy who wanted to take swearing out entirely, but it got me thinking of an approach to writing that is designed to avoid gratuitousness and thought I'd share it.

My point was still to include swearing but the technique is purely to avoid swearing for the sake of it and instead to make sure it feels natural with the character.
Yes. Also, they will have a quiet dinner.can we makes that no one dies, too as dying is bäh?
that should have been can we make it so that ...can we makes that no one dies, too as dying is bäh?

I haven't. I've heard of it, and I now understand that the reference to the reproductive anatomy of a sasquatch comes from that movie (though the Google search said nothing about the context) but that's just about it.I've seen Anchorman.

And as to stand-up comics, we must all remember that Bob Newhart can have an audience ROFLTFAO with implied swearing.
His 1982-90 sitcom has the most sublime and prettiest sitcom theme in existence.
Newhart is an exception, not the rule.
I luv that guy.![]()
