Very happy Aubry is the winner. I would have preferred Cirie or Devens but out of the final five she was my first choice. Great ending to her arc, finally getting to the end with players she can beat.
It feels like a great ending, feeling she deserved to win her first season, then coming full circle and becoming a winner.
I already got spoiled because the winner just HAD to make a YT video and it was in the thumbnail. And for some reason YT decided to show me this in a feed where I wasn't even watching Survivor stuff.
The show isn't even over in my time zone. Since I usually watch it on the website after midnight, I'm wondering why I should even bother now.
Okay, I finally watched it. It could have been worse. Aubry's better than somebody like Joe. And Tiffany could have been more gracious.
I'm more miffed about Cirie winning the fan favorite. Sorry, she didn't really do anything to deserve it. All she ever did was sit in a hammock and flutter her false eyelashes.
What's YT? I was semispoiled because a few people who saw the betting markets posted in Facebook groups I followed but I wasn't really spoiled. I would have been happy if Cirie had won because she absolutely controlled the game every vote until the Ozzy vote.
After Aubry won, I've seen a lot about what different players had said afterward. And what surprised me most is Jonathan being such a sore loser in his exit interviews. He just feels so entitled, acting like Cirie's advocacy for Aubry is the worst thing ever while ignoring Stephenie did the same thing for him. Whereas Joe has taken the loss so much better, he understands why he lost. It's just vastly decreased my respect for Jonathan and increased my respect for Joe.
