No - nothing in canon says that the original was destroyed.

I mean, there had to be some damage from Data phasering Lore. We saw B4 in pieces in the drawer at the actual Daystrom Institute in S1. I didn't remember any mention of Lore back then.

I'm a day late but hell, Zefram Cochrane footage was played into Enterprise's launch ceremony. So some 200-year old video of Archer to mark Frontier Day, at whatever advanced age he was when they first decided NX-01 voyages were the beginning of Starfleet, doesn't seem so implausible to me.
