I was digging through my ridiculously large stash of fabrics today, looking for inspiration, when I found a pack of fabrics I had won in a drawing. Beautiful bright fabrics and it came with a pattern, too! I started the quilt right away and I'm loving the colors and the pattern is quick and easy, just squares and rectangles.
How old is your house? I only ask because the house where I spent most of my childhood had circuit breakers, and it was built in 1962.
Glad you were able to get the water heater working again after all that fuss and bother.
I think it was built in 1955.
Yesterday and today are insignificant to Monday.....because I bought book reprints of the first 144 issues of THE WALKING DEAD for nine bucks. I had binged the entire comic series three years ago and it was amazing. The most graphic novel of all time in omnibus form.
More like this week but whatever. I’m really bad at making proper friends (outside of someone you talk to because of proximity or smth rather than because you want to) even if i’m happy to talk to people and engage and stuff. Social skills just isn’t really my thing, but this week i’ve made two friends and i’m like.. over the moon.
Today this girl in my class and i gossiped about her life (we normally do but it was different because it was out of class), she invited me to her 18th birthday this week (even though it isn’t for a while), and sent me a meme thing about being friends!!
On Tuesday I met this girl and we started talking, she asked for my number and today she texted me saying she wishes i was on this trip with her that she went on!!
One of my closest friends (but again i didn’t think i was one of her closest friends, gauging social stuff especially with all the teenage rules i don’t understand is hard) told me i was one of hers, and she said we should do things outside of school more often and AHHHH. She also watched some of Dr Who for me and really liked it!
I feel like im an actual teenager actually socialising and doing it right???
Unrelated but still living off the high from father’s day where i gave my mums boyfriend a card (he’s basically like my dad but i never call him that) and i wrote it to Dad instead of to his name like i normally do (as well as that i love him which i don’t ever say because that’s just never been something we’ve done) and he got really emotional and has kept the card up.

So, had a bit of an upside down event yesterday that turned in to good news. Neighbors spotted a stranger on our property poking around one of our ride on lawn mowers. Sends my family's anxiety through the stratosphere as we think its a prowler scoping the property. Do all the security things, post no tresspassing signs, call the police, etc.
Come to find out its a neighbor we've met before, down the road, who had helped us with our ride on mower last year and we had purchased a new one. He wanted to buy the old one.
Anxiety lowered, and thankfully no prowlers as of today. *big sign of relief.*

Might have found a decent replacement phone. Will have to wait a bit, but it looks promising.
Stopped myself from buying something rather unhealthy for lunch and made something at home instead. Thought about buying some frankfurts, as I was thinking about them over night. Scrambled eggs were much better.
The weather was great so I got to wear one of my new dresses and cute little bows in my hair. My family and I went to the school fete for the special needs school my aunt works at, all the money goes to the school! I got a crotchet mushroom and some cute handmade earrings (love hearts and daisies)!! It was so fun, there was dancing and games, the ice cream van gave me a free ice cream!

Wrote a spotless report for work today, since the website actually worked like it's supposed to.
In the last four days the shop has done $44,000 in business. $12,000 W-F ($36,000) and $8,000 today.
Nothing good has happened yet, but I'm hopeful
Every day, like today, where I don't get blindsided by something horrible in the mail, is a little bit of good.
Well, not a lot good happened today, but at least one good bit of news: one of the biggest dickheads at work sent out some nonsensical, rambling conspiracy-theory email to all the supervisors, so I contacted HR to do something about the jackass. Come to find out that said jackass had been fired over a month ago. Huzzah! Now I can block him. The company is sending Mr. Jackass a warning that he is to not to contact or harass the staff. FINALLY.
Why they didn't fire him a YEAR ago, I'll never know, but he's gone now. FUCK YEAH.

Had a fantastic birthday dinner with my nephews and nieces at my wife's sister's house. Great food and games and just great fun. I really love those kids... outside my mom and my wife, my favorite people in the world.
