Supernatural Season 9 (Spoilers)

Finally caught up after missing the last couple episodes when they aired.
The Cas one was a nice character piece. I felt bad for him when he realized he was there to baby sit and not go on a date with his co-worker. Have we gotten a romantic interest for Castiel yet?
I really enjoyed the young Dean one. The ghost stuff wasn't that interesing, but the look at Dean's past was great. The brothers have definitely left quite the trail of women behind on their travels, haven't they?

I'm pretty sure Kelthaz is referring to the demon (a recurring character on the show) who hung out with Castiel in the episode Goodbye Stranger. She was killed by Crowley, though.

It was a fun episode. I loved it when Dean found out about the ex-porn star, whom he ended up sleeping with. Lucky bastard. And it was a bit of an overshare when he told the group of virgin/neo-virgin women about the whole sexual experience. But I thought it was weird to have Vesta as the main villain in the story.

Dean was a literal Born again Virgin after he came back from hell with a new body.

Besides, assginity is a thing.

A fun little purity ring/sex comedy indeed. The show has always been good at casting female guests. They even got an attractive church lady.

I didn't think they'd find a way to go there, but they did. I'm reading the IMDb boards and some people aren't too happy with the episode. One thought that the show has become all about sex and another thought that what Dean did was a bit reckless and douchey because he put the girl above the mission and tried to take advantage of someone who was trying to reform their life. Sounds like the gist of these arguments is that even the writers can get carried away when it comes to sex and in doing so, end up not writing it properly. I like to see what people think after episodes like these, especially as someone who was more taken by Susie Abromeit's hotness and Dean's incredible luck.

I liked their reactions. A lot of truth in that.

I have no complaints about what Dean did. It might not have been the nicest thing to do, but it wasn't wrong either. She was an adult and capable of making her own decisions.

Have the people on IMDb forgotten that Dean kind of is reckless and douchey? He's no angel (the metaphorical kind, of course :p), this incident was very much in-character for him.

I find it unrealistic.

To my mind, expornstars have used up their quota of meaningless sex.

She should have statistically been numb and vacant to anything approaching a com'on.

Sure Dean is movie star handsome but he's also over 30 and living in his car.

Maybe it was his story in group, and she's really into creative types?

The first bloke she's seen in a year with an IQ over 80?

Maybe the porn industry isn't the meat grinder it used to be, or maybe the Church spent a long time putting her back together again, but I just didn't buy that they would hook up like that when this Winchester if Hemingway played the drums and not a typewriter.

^^ She obviously got into porn because she liked sex a lot. She got guilted out of it, but she missed it.

Hipsters. They think that women are weak and at the mercy of men, and they call it feminism.

As a pagan, i was appalled by this episode. Typical propaganda against us. I did not like the episode at all. Our Gods and Goddesses are important and scared to us. You may not believe but we do.

On a lighter note, the female actor who portrayed Vesta looked exactly like a Roman Goddess should look, especially during the two church scenes.

As opposed to the way they've treated the Christian religion?

I've noticed a trend in that they portray anything supernatural with negative connotations.
