Superman and Lois
Season 2 - Episode 7 - "Anti-Hero"
Clark/SM/Bizarro/Anderson: Ever hopeful...or naive, SM begs Anderson to investigate all things Ally. Anderson accuses SM of hiding Bizarro, so in order to force SM to divulge all he knows, Anderson has Tal Roh tortured. Giving in, SM gives Anderson coordinates to a location long abandoned by Bizarro--his soldiers only finding a discarded costume. Enraged, Anderson sends his men into the red sun chamber but have the tables turned on them, with the Kryptonians breaking out of the complex, heading to Roh's desert fortress....
Under water with Hardcastle, Anderson decides to use X-K in order to kill Tal Roh, Bizarro and apprehend SM...
At the fortress, Bizarro explains that on his world, that version of Tal Rho was close to him...until his wife attempted to kill him, a detail Roh finds revealing and shocking (since he does not have a wife).
Without much warning, Anderson finds the group, using his drug-fueled powers to attack SM. during the fight, Roh jumps in the path of Kryptonite bullets meant for SM, while their mother releases Bizarro to fight Anderson. SM is tasked with dissolving the Kryptonite bullets in Roh's chest; he's successful but has to fly him into space for direct exposure to the sun's energy if Roh is to recover.
Returning to earth to assist Bizarro, he finds the alien dead--the result of being placed in a lethal chokehold. Anderson escapes, with a free SM promising to find him.
Sam--feeling responsible for Anderson (since he recommended him for the job) volunteers to lead the manhunt for Anderson....
Elsewhere, Anderson locates Ally, and offers the pendant, which Ally says is the way to "change the worlds"...
Jordan / Jonathan: Candace pushes more X-K on Jonathan, just as the police conduct a drug raid at the school. Candace--without missing a beat--thinks of herself (and what she would face if caught), wanting Jonanthan to take the drugs. Jonanthan assumes his status as s "good kid" would give him some protection if caught, but his reasoning / gamble was wrong in every way, with the police arresting him for possession of X-K. He's released (waiting for the school's decision about his fate), but Lois is beyond angry once she learns Jonanthan was taking X-K instead of dealing it. Frustrated, she speaks to Lana about her problems--and not even being aware of the X-K problem, or how to deal with Jonathan. Lana suggests its enough for a parent to be there for the kids when no one else will...
Lois questions Jonathan again, mentioning that he will be expelled if he refuses to name the source of the X-K. Clark also has a few choice words with Jonahan, pretty much calling him a shame to himself and the family (by being a bad representative through his recent actions), which leaves Jonathan in tears.
Jordan/Sarah: Sarah's feeling lost in the wake of Kyle' departure and mentions how she cannot talk to Jordan about her issues. Instead of stepping up and trying to relate to Sarah about the same problems they're going through, Lana effectively pushes Sarah toward some other person she feels she can relate to--the girl from camp. So much for being there for her child (the advice she offered to Lois).
Lana/Kyle/Sarah: Lana takes her Dean problems to Lois, complaining about her opponent running ads as the "family values" candidate, but later confronts Dean (in front of townspeople) about the hypocrisy of selling himself as the aforementioned "family values" guy while attacking another going through a terrible personal problem (SEE NOTES).
Ultimately, the person Sarah needed to speak to is her father...and she finally finds him, sans the anger and disappointment expressed in the previous episode.
NOTES:
Oh well, Tal-Roh's back at the DOD cell. Hopefully, the showrunners keep him there, or send him to the Bizarro world to have a showdown with Ally, and decide to settle there...
Similar to Supergirl's completely unrealistic depiction of journalism, this series leaned in that Saturday morning TV-level of fantasy with Lana's speech (against Dean) instantly making some of the townsfolk turn away from Dean, when a moment earlier, none protested his reference to Lana's issues to any degree. The point being that voters are not so turned off by character assassination in politics.
The series returns on 3/22/22, with Natalie having difficulties at the controls of her ship....
