Spoilers "Superman & Lois" Season 2

In the audio commentary for the movie director Richard Donner said it was directly inspired by an existing item. Drawing a blank what it was. I would have to listen to whole thing again. Either some kind of simple desk toy or something used in store window displays, advertising. Maybe.

Think they might been used in Jewellery Stores. A similar concept was used for a TARDIS time rotor in Mark of The Rani though that was 6 years after Superman the Movie.

I'm not entirely sure Jonathan's powers are 100% because of the drug. I believe his girlfriend when asked what kind of powers he would get said it was random for each person. I took that to mean one person could take the drugs and get 'super speed', someone else could take them and get 'super-hearing'.

Jonathan seems to be getting every power. It's possible the drug is activating something that was dormant and not just introducing something that doesn't exist. Of course it still may ultimately mean he needs the drugs to access the powers.
Maybe it's somehow unlocking dormant powers that the people who take it have the potential for, but were just never activated before .

The only time Pink Kryptonite appeared was in one panel set in an alternate universe where Superman was not married at the time. It was also shown to have only temporary effect, as Superman married the Post-Crisis Supergirl soon after.

More recently, in the animated series Justice League Action, Pink Kryptonite switched Clark's gender.

Yeah. They wouldn’t do the actual effect on a kids show. :)
My favourite form is silver Kryptonite from the comics which makes him high.

Well, if they changed her gender without changing her orientation, then Superwoman is a lesbian, however if they did change Superwoman's oriention, then Superman can later recall a homosexual experience.

He married his cousin?
No, he married the Post-Crisis Supergirl, the one that started out as an artificial shapeshifting lifeform from a pocket universe and then became some kind of angel for a while. 90s comics were weird, especially when they were written by the likes of Peter David. But she wasn't his cousin. And it was a Superman from an alternate reality, anyway.

Speaking of 90’s Superman stories, I would love for them to do Superman Red/Blue down the line. No one outside of the comics has down that big arc yet. I know the story wasn’t popular but they could improve in it. I just want to see that awesome look they both had.
