Spoilers "Superman & Lois" Season 2

Funny how Superman can easily handle x Kryptonite. Must be the only type he can handle safely.

That wasn't even a visual effect, just a clever optical illusion -- two rings welded together at an angle and rotated so that it looked like they were "rolling" on top of each other.
Surprised I didn't know this -- or if I did, I had forgotten it. It's a striking and memorable bit of design work to begin with, and to know it was achieved in such a simple and low-tech way makes it even cooler.

I'm trying to remember how much hands-on contact Superman (or Edge) had with X-Kryptonite last season. I don't remember it giving him a boost (when he had his epiphany about Bizarro being his opposite, I thought he was dragging him up towards the sunlight), so I was surprised by what his actual solution was.

I also thought he was taking him up for direct sun contact when he realised he was the opposite of him. I think the implication they were going for was that x Kryptonite was de-powering him as it gave powers to the humans.

I would have liked for Bizarro to be clean-shaven.

That Anderson really makes my skin crawl. Kudos to that actor who I'm assuming usually comes across as a decent guy.
He wasn't in Teen Wolf, he was one of the shows main recurring bad guys, and was an evil, violent, psychopath. For those not aware Teen Wolf also included Tyler Hoechlin as one of the main characters, so this is the second time in a decade him and Ian Bohen come into conflict with each other.
I'm a little disappointed they're already repeating the John Irons storyline with Bizarro. First Irons appeared to be a bad guy, but it turned out he was actually in Smallville because he was from a parallel universe, and the same thing that threatened his world was happening on their Earth. Now we have Bizarro, who it turns out is on their Earth because he's trying to stop the same thing that threatened the parallel Earth he came from. It was fun seeing Bizarro's heat breath, and freeze vision, and it was nice to know he's not the mindless monster he appeared to be.
I have to admit, I didn't expect the Ally Allston and Bizarro stories to be so closely linked, so that was a nice surprise. When she was talking about another world or whatever, it never occurred to me it was Bizzaro World.
So the Yellow Mist effecting Johnathan's personality
must explain what the Superboy costume we saw in the leaked photo the other day. I was thinking that style looked out of character for Johnathan.
I wonder how far he'll go with it, full on villain or just a bit of an asshole?
I knew the moment the text said the woman Kyle had cheated with was outside, that Jordan and Sarah were going to overhear them. You really just can't have a party on these kinds of shows with out either personal drama or a super villain attack.

What's weird to me is these AI's are not even Clark's Krypton parents I think. Aren't they just programs with some memories downloaded to recreate a copy of the real people who died when the planet blew up?

They are the brain interact construct versions of them.

In the audio commentary for the movie director Richard Donner said it was directly inspired by an existing item. Drawing a blank what it was. I would have to listen to whole thing again. Either some kind of simple desk toy or something used in store window displays, advertising. Maybe.

I completely forgot that Bizzaro used fire breath in a previous episode

IIRC, the Bizarro Supergirl in season 1 of her show had the same inversion of powers, cold vision and heat breath.

Although it's ironic that this Bizarro's eyes glow blue to indicate his cold vision, when Supergirl's heat vision was blue. And it annoys me, as a physics guy, when visual media use red light to suggest heat and blue light to suggest cold, because on the blackbody spectrum, blue is thousands of degrees hotter than red. We associate red with fire and blue with cool water, but our psychological perception is the reverse of the physical reality.

But it looks cooler that way. That's what matters the most.

I'm not entirely sure Jonathan's powers are 100% because of the drug. I believe his girlfriend when asked what kind of powers he would get said it was random for each person. I took that to mean one person could take the drugs and get 'super speed', someone else could take them and get 'super-hearing'.

Jonathan seems to be getting every power. It's possible the drug is activating something that was dormant and not just introducing something that doesn't exist. Of course it still may ultimately mean he needs the drugs to access the powers.

I wonder if we could see a type of Eli Bradley/Patriot storyline play out where Eli 'faked' having super serum powers and was taking Mutant Growth Hormone and then later did actually get the powers after a blood transfusion.

Maybe something happens to Jonathan and then Jordan being the only half-krypton/human gives him a transfusion and he has powers going forward without the drug.

I thought the X-K wore off after a while, which is why we saw Jonathan having to huff it, thus leading to a varying set of powers. But then again we're still dealing with someone who's part alien, so who knows how its affecting him.

I think it is possible he will stop taking the drugs but the powers will stay. Maybe it will corrupt his mind though and starts working with the Military General and becoming one his Superman power recruits.
