I found it more than a little disconcerting that Ma Kent didn't look much older than Lois Lane.

I'm a little tired of the "Super duper eldery" person comics cliche...

I didn't say she should look like Katherine Hepburn circa "On Golden Pond." I just found it odd that she looked barely older than the love interest for her son.

Diane Lane looks pretty typical of todays women her age.

No, she looks nearly ten years younger than she is. She's 48 and looks about 40. Adams is 39 according to IMDB. They look more like sisters than two women who are supposed to be playing characters of different generations.

Amy Adams = not as hot as Diane Lane. But as they say, any port in a storm, eh?

Well, they are going to use Ma Kent in the scenes of Clark growing up, so that's about right.

Oh no, an actress may or may not have looked age appropriate in the G-Man's limited opinion. Who the fuck cares that she's, what, pushing 50 and would completely and utterly believably be the mother of a 30 year old (which, incidentally, is how old Henry Cavill is)? She looks good for her age, despite her completely and utterly real age. What a crime, what a horrible, horrible crime. IT IS COMPLETELY UNFORGIVABLE! THE MOVIE SUCKS NOW!!!

Yeah, me too. I read either online or in Total Film that apparently the armor Zod wears is so big it had to be added later with CGI. I've been trying to figure out if they meant the armor we're seeing in the pics and trailers, or if there is some other bigger stuff later one? What we've seen so far doesn't look that big to me.
