Superman (casting, rumors, pix till release)

She at least seemed capable and coherent enough to appear on The Tonight Show. So many softball questions asked though. Typical Leno.

Faora is not a variation of Ursa, she's her own character. Ursa was based on Faroa.

Smallville recently used her as Zod's wife.

Well I'm pretty sure Donner only came up with the names Ursa and Non because they were easier to pronounce and sounded a bit more menacing than the original comic book versions. No real mystery there.

And in either case, I doubt it's going to make much of a difference to the regular moviegoing audience. She'll just be another evil female Phantom Zone villain to them.

^ Dropped out or was dropped, I'm not sure which. I'm pretty sure I read that she's out, either way.

(Re Lindsay, in response to Admiral Young)

^ It wouldn't. That's not what we were discussing though. We were discussing about Non's inclusion in the film which is why I brought up the differences between Farora and Ursa.

To be fair it's not an official casting announcement. This is just through Variety (which I believe has been wrong on a few occasions about The Dark Knight Rises stuff). It looks solid though which is why I posted it. These usually don't become official until WB announces it.

So they cast an old hag as Lois Lane but a fresh faced sexy young actress as the villainess? If I had my way Auntje Trau would be Lois Lane!
This movie is gonna bomb so hard people would think they are watching footage of London in WWII.

How does 36 make Amy Adams look like an old hag? This has arguably one of the strongest casts ever for a super hero film. Weren't you also the one who posted that "Star Trek II" and "X-Men:First Class" were going to bomb (the later because the production looked rushed?)

He reminds me of that poster who used to post persistent "IT'S A FLOP!" threads every now and then.

:guffaw: I forgot about that guy! I remember he was so upset that people called Firefly a flop (which, honestly, it was), so he made a new "FLOP!" threads every time a new popular film came out. Wasn't his handle zzyyxx or something like that?

I rarely use this one but it seems quite appropriate in this case.

At least at 36 they cast someone as Lane this time around who would believable as a famous reporter. Not some 20-something.
