And also looks like the blue heat-vision will be the new standard on the show. I thought perhaps it was just a more intense beam she was using in the pilot, but I guess not.

EDIT: Turns out its Supergirl's (the character's) "birthday" today, too. I wonder if the timing is a coincidence?

Since this trailer actually premiered last night, the release had nothing to do with today being the character's birthday.

If they could get Nicole Tom, Summer Glau, and Molly C. Quinn they could have every actress to play Supergirl in TV or movies on the show. Other than the fact that Molly Quinn is on Castle, it probably wouldn't be that hard to get them each to at least do a cameo. And even though they only voiced her in animation all three have done plenty of live action too, so that's not an issue.

Wow that's a really low user rating for a TV show. Granted, it's all based on a leaked pilot, but still a very bad sign.
