Supergirl TV Series is being work on.

Do people really put much stock in IMDB ratings? I've always figured it was about as accurate and reliable as the Youtube comments section or something. Especially when you see how many people voted 1/10 (mostly spiteful comic nerds, I'm sure).

Given the amount of people who turned out to see the screenings of the Pilot that were held at San Diego Comic-Con and another Con (I believe it was New York Comic Con), and the fact that the show has generated more activity on Social Media than any other new show this Fall, IMDB ratings mean absolutely nothing whatsoever.

This show is going to do GANGBUSTERS as far as premiere ratings goes, and is more likely-than-not to sustain those numbers week to week.

I do look at the IMD rating to get an idea of what people think, but I wouldn't put to much stock in it this early. At this point it's probably mostly just the hardcore comic fans who have seen it, and they aren't exactly fair when it comes to this stuff.

^Not to mention that there are always some jerks who give the worst rating to things they haven't even seen or read, just for the sake of trolling. I've seen instances of book polls in the Trek Lit forum where a one-star review will materialize within minutes of the poll's posting, even if it's before the book has actually come out.

I know it's unlikely, but I'd really love to see that song used as part of the main titles (even if just a really short version using the chorus). Because it just seems like such a perfect fit.

yeah, I agree. It was in early promos but then removed for whatever reason.

What Rick Sanchez said about smart people having to be bitter, depressed and sarcastic about spiritually uplifting shit, last night. Y'know?

"Stupid people have to be nice to hedge their bets."

I'm just saying that if you didn't see the pilot 6 months ago then you're the George Bailey who gives sappy shit high IMBD scores, or you're the moron who doesn't know how to use the tubes on the interweb good.

(If I just called you Jimmy Stewart, that's like 1940s George Clooney. How the #### is that offensive? Relax you gorgeous bastard! Go get lost in a mirror.)

You can understand how the score is being dragged down, can't you?

Maybe some of us just don't like supporting stuff that is illegal.
I've always l liked that song, and pairing it up with Supergirl makes it even better.

Which makes you as honest, pure and true as George Bailey.

I covered that, or do you not get the reference?

Only dirty rotten ass###es, and those that can afford tickets to comicon, have seen the Supergirl pilot.

I was trying to understand the sampling that contributed to this "low" score.

(I don't think that it was that low.)

Bad people who are almost the only people to have seen the pilot are giving Supergirl bad marks.

Good people who would almost certainly give it good marks, haven't seen it.

People who haven't seen Supergirl, shouldn't be marking the show, because that is a sinister lie.

Good people don't tell sinister lies.

Therefore Supergirl's IMDB score is low and has to be low and should be low and could never have been high at this point in time.

I'm just patient. I don't have any need to see it any earlier. I can barely keep up with my legally acquired TV.

I prefer to wait in order to see what the makers intended instead of being spoiled by something that is most likely incomplete and not in it's final form.

The "incomplete" weird fake pilots are often released as a DVD extra.

Did you see the already cancelled sitcom for showtime Happyish earlier this year?

Philip Seymour Hoffman shortly before he died, yes he's dead, very sad, filmed a pilot for Happyish.

Recasting was deemed necessary after the funeral.
