Spoilers Supergirl - Season 5

Earth-Two Alan Scott is gay.

We must have had a crisis since after Alan Two announced 10ish years ago that he was a friend of Dorothy.

That looks like an Earth Prime Alan Scott.

It's a simpler costume.

Alan Prime is now gay as of a week ago.

I did try to read this comic, but it felt like advertising.

It's 20 or so 4 page stories, about everything that's being printed right now.

(I just read it.)

He didn't raise his kids, didn't know about them till they were adults, and got married to women several times. He says that he told a few members of the JSA back in the 1940s, but kept hush hush about it most of the time.

Coming out to Obsidian.

Obsidian already knew, and that guy, his son, was already out.

Jade is Green.

I wonder how racism affects her?

It was unlikely that the world's only green girl and a sometimes super villain homosexual were going to ostracize their hundred year old daddy for finally coming out.

You want to see some explosions...

Tell Hawkman.

A synopsis has just been released for "Rebirth", the Season Premiere of Season 6, and it sounds like it's going to wrap up the previous season's storylines and set the table for something new, so I might actually be able to skip it and still watch the season LIVE without missing much of anything.

.
No, Geoff Johns' "Dark Things Cannot Stand the Light" from the Green Lantern 80th Anniversary Super Spectacular had Alan Prime talk to the mother of his dead lover. That was back in August.

He's 90 but looks 60, and never going to get any older?

Young people are awful.

Well, how ever old any of us are, any younger than that, is awful.

His dating pool is going to be emotionally taxing.

They'll be nostalgic about the wrong baseball players.

Earlier I called Alan a friend of Dorothy, which I don't think is offensive... But if his current origin still has the old codger as a Radio magnate in the 1940s to 1950s... He might have actually been a friend of Judy Garland.

Excellent news that Cryer’s Luthor is still in the mix, at least for the premiere.

“Lex ... has used the Obsidian platform to brainwash half the world to love him and follow him at all costs, no matter what horrible things he does.”

I feel like there may be a subtle allusion at work here, but I can’t quite put my finger on it ....

“Supergirl realizes that the only way to truly stop Lex is to sacrifice herself.”

Setting up limited appearances by Benoist (at least early on)?

Looks like I was probably right in my speculation about "Prom Night" and "Prom Again!" -- and Kara and Alex won't be the only younger versions of characters we'll see.

(I'll put the rest of this behind a spoiler tag on the off chance Guy's complaint above was meant seriously.)

EW has exclusively learned that newcomer Eliza Helm has been cast as a younger version of [Cat] Grant — the media mogul Calista Flockhart portrayed in season 1 — in the CW superhero drama's sixth season.

Appearing in season 6's fifth ("Prom Night") and sixth ("Prom Again!") episodes, Helm's young Cat is introduced in flashbacks to the early days of her career when she was known as "CJ Grant." "Eager to step out of Lois Lane's shadow and out from under her boss, Perry White's thumb, Cat chases a story to Kara's hometown of Midvale," reads the official character description. "This lead won't go as planned, but it will put her on the trajectory toward the Media Powerhouse we know and love as Cat Grant."
This is far too awesome for me. These two episodes promise to be real standouts for Supergirl's farewell season.

Kara and friends will be getting some help from two new allies who are heading to National City. Jason Behr (Roswell) and Claude Knowlton (American Crime Story) have joined the cast of the upcoming sixth season of CW’s Supergirl in recurring roles.

Knowlton will play a mild mannered alien whose tragic past allows him to help the Superfriends with their mission at hand. Behr will portray a famous or noted Kryptonian who plays a significant role helping Kara when she faces circumstances beyond her control. The character name is being kept under wraps.
For some reason I'm thinking Behr's role might be Zor-El ....
