Sharon Leal is Miss Martian! Yay! She's gorgeous.
You can always cherry-pick differences, but that doesn't mean the similarities don't apply. Two things don't have to be absolutely identical to be valid as analogies.
Of course. I never claimed it was exclusive to DC, because there is no such thing as an approach that is unique to a single work of fiction. I merely felt that it was an apposite analogy.
Do we? How often do crossovers between the shows really happen anyway? Typically it's just a few times a season.

As for the other news, I always imagine Ms. martian as a teen/young adult, so the casting is weird but I'm not against it or anything. The Chris Woods reveal is interesting, and even though I thought about him being that character I didn't actually think they'd go with that.

Leal didn't leave much of impression on me either way on Grimm, but I loved the character on Young Justice, so I'm happy.
I'm not very familiar with the character or actor, so no real reaction here.
Awesome! This new just made my day, at least until the new SW trailer tonight. I love musicals, and from what I've seen of the actors almost all of them are good to great singers. This should be a lot of fun! To bad Victor Garber isn't on The Flash anymore.

I know J'onn is hundreds of years old and that his "niece" is probably also hundreds of years old, but Miss Martian is from Young Justice and Teen Titans, which doesn't usually scream over 40.
A Snapper Carr is the teen mascot of the JLA. And Felicity is supposed to be a middle aged woman.

"Miss" implies youth, or spinsterhood (which isn't a bad thing anymore, in fact most spinsters in the olden times were just secret lesbians trying not to be burnt as a witch).

I liked Leal in Boston public 20 years ago, and I liked her in recovery Road a couple months ago, it's just a weird character for a grown woman to want to play, you know except that it' a job, and she wants to get paid.
It's a similar deal in reverse when all the Legion started growing up, and they're still Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl. You'd seriously think that they would think about changing their names before they turned 30.
As a 200 year old shapeshifter, Miss Martian must be choosing to look like a (very youthful seeming) 41 year old woman because she thinks that it is funny?

Not only was he in GODSPELL, but he also played John Wilkes Booth in the original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim's ASSASSINS. (Yes, I have the original cast album.) And Daddy Warbucks in ANNIE.
It would be a crying shame to leave him out of a musical ep.
