The girl I'm into is from Wisconsin and hence a huge Packers fan, so to be (kinda) close we watched it together, via Skype... her in America, me over here in England.
I know, I know, there's a whole thread buried in there, but let's move on shall we?
I've never watched a game before, but I think I picked the game up pretty quickly and overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. The closest I've been to watching a game of AF is watching an episode of
Friday Night Lights. Clearly, having someone to cheer on and support was an important factor in this (and being nervous and delighted on behalf of someone else too) but I rather enjoyed the strategy of the game and overall the BBC commentators were enthused, knowlegable and pretty entertaining in their own right.
I'm going to attempt to follow the next season I think (somehow). Given I've never had any passion for Soccer, or Rugby, or Cricket it'd be nice to have a sport to watch.
The SB was a worthy loss of sleep for me, but if you're not supporting either team I can see how it might not be an attractive proposition.
Hugo - got teased endlessly by my workmates who are all ardent Soccer fans...
