Strange thing about the hull

It would be like the Chicago Courtyard style apartment buildings. Most of the time you'd have your shades down to keep your "across the way" neighbors from looking in.

Actually Voyager and the Enterprise E are like two sports cars. Sleek fast, get you where you want to go fast.

Only one of them had those cute little landing legs though that folded out. Just for shits and giggles we need another big starship that can do that in Trek.

That would be cool, have a Cruise ship type of glass ceiling over an area, or mall on a Spaceship maybe have some shutters come up during reed alert.
 
It's called the Aeroshuttle, and I'm pretty sure the writers didn't even know it was there. If they had, why would they have made the Delta Flyer?

Bullshit answer: it compromises hull integrity when separated from the ship. A design flaw fixed in later Intrepid class ships. :techman:
