"Trials and Tribbleations(DS9)" is utterly pointless? That's a first, or at least the first time I've heard someone place it so low on their scale in a very, VERY long time. So long I can't even recall the last dismissive comment I heard about it.
And bringing in TOS fans (like myself) to DS9 while celebrating the 30th anniversary.
Who established that as the series theme? This episode of SNW, like in my opinion, far too many recently, is not relevant to what I believe the overall theme of the series should be, i.e. Exploration of new cultures and planets.
Who established that as the series theme?
No, that just some nice prose.Really? Its in the voiceover in the credits?
Why else have it?
If the voiceover of,
'Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before!' is not suggestive of being the theme of the show then I don't know what is.

We have decades showing us what Star Trek is. It's never been limited to the opening monologWell if we are going to define it by what Gene thought Star Trek was we might as well write it all of past season 1 of TNG,
Or it can be about falling in love with a woman from three hundred years ago or an android.TOS wasn't even about exploration ever week. "Space Seed" is literally about 72 superhumans from over 200 years earlier who get found, thawed out and try to take over the ship. Not one alien. Not one shot of an alien planet. Just humans interacting with other humans who have five times their strength.

Thank you.I adjusted the quote to make it accurate. (The bolded/italicized part.)

Aren't opinions fun!
Whomst among us hasn't fallen in love with an android? Whomst?!Or it can be about falling in love with a woman from three hundred years ago or an android.
My favorite Star Trek episodes are bottle shows.I'd add "bottle episode" into the list of phrases people use incorrectly when describing TV shows. Especially lately.
Not by THAT much. And mostly by height, IIRC.Well the exterior model of the TOS shuttle was smaller than the set.
So... 150-200 feet wide? What was the original? 70 feet? How big would you say that shuttle bay is?
Spock will help you with forgetting.I know nothing of these RealDolls and refuse to know anything unless...someone got one they can lend me?
"So, I may have accidentally invented a boyfriend."Whomst among us hasn't fallen in love with an android? Whomst?!
