How it feels watching some "prim and proper" Trekkies getting a taste of Lower Decks for the first time.

Okay. 9/10 not perfect but awesome.

Snw credits with the slug sucking on the nacelle and the Koala... HA!
Gues they forget that Jack Quaid is 6'2" ...
So many jokes.. Pike known for.. The Hair..
Spock beelining away from the experiment..
They used the orion ship design from the TOS HD.. Nice.
Was awesome!

The whole experience of "Those Old Scientists" was, for lack of a better word, joyous. I thought the Lower Decks humor was organically integrated. Mariner and Boimler felt like Mare & Boims. I got a live-action Boimler scream. I got to see a scene of Spock and Boimler together come to life a year after I drew it when the episode was announced.

10/10. My favorite episode of Star Trek ever made.

That would be 50 years later though.
I'd figure it would take a bit more than a few decades after first contact and significant trade of information, before the history of Bajor is being read in a primary classroom in rural France.

9/10 While you could quibble over the story, it had a lot of heart. I like the fact that both the SNW crew and the Lower Decks characters both seemed to get something out of the experience. But between you and me, wtf was up with Spock's creepy ass grin? Was Chapel trying to create nightmare fuel?
