So then,
knowing that, and when, my father had died, even though I had absolutely no knowledge of where he was, or how he was, and absolutely
no contact with any one that even knew him, for well over half of my lifetime, was not all so amazing?!
*sniffle*
I am right now very disappointed with my
nonexistent telepathic abilities!
*she uttered, mildly sarcastically, in her esoteric, near Gypsyesque accent *
Condolences about your dad.
But no, it's not amazing. It falls under the category of weird, but statistically possible. I also wouldn't be surprised if you're letting hindsight interfere with your memory of the event.
Your telepathic abilities are nonexistent. *he said, flatly, without a trace of sarcasm*
It's really quite offensive when a narrowly scientist-minded person comes into a discussion about things that are far outside of their study, experience, or inclination, and act as if they know more about the nature of existence than all the sages, philosophers, poets, monks, artists and seekers of all kinds throughout all of history.
I for one will stand on their shoulders, just as you do those of science. As well as my own knowledge and experience. Even if
Yalana didn't care, or choose to interpret what happened spiritually, or even just energetically ~ christ, even science points to that interconnectedness ~ this shit is real, it happens all the time, and people are free to choose to engage it or not. And opinions are like assholes. But it often seems to me that when people share these types of experiences on this board, it's like a bunch of bankers come into an art studio and start telling them what to paint. Because they know what has "value".
All consciousness is interconnected and exists outside of our bodies. Dreams are often psychological but can also lead to other, shamanic states of being, in which information can be found and brought back, and where deep and important work can be done. The electrical impulses monitored on a screen are only the tip of the iceberg. The web did NOT come into existence in the last 20 or so years.
