STOP. Not everything is 'sexy'.

TheLobes

Commander
Red Shirt
If the doctor describes anything else as 'sexy' im going to kill myself! It seems like every time he meets something this has to be thrown in to make the show seem cool and hip.

It was kind of funny the first times, but now its like watching your father trying to dance at a wedding.

Anyone else agree with this?

Sexy is cool.

No, I don't have anything against him calling every second thing he sees "sexy" or "cool." It's his catchphrase, did you complain everytime Eccleston said "fantastic" or Tennant said things like "allonsy" or "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."?

Didnt mind Eccleston, but did mind 'Im sorry. Im so sorry'. Just lost all meaning after while.

I dont really care about it that much though, because it was more a part of his character than saying 'sexy' all the time. The sexy thing to me seems just something to try and make the Doctor sound cool, not as such a part of his identity. Its been going on since the Tennant Doctor and I just find it boring now.

Apart from calling the TARDIS sexy in The Doctors Wife, when else has he done this?

He's frequently called the TARDIS sexy, starting with The Eleventh Hour the Doctor's first reaction to the new console room was "oh you sexy thing." He made a referance to "sexy vampire fish" in A Good Man Goes to War.

That's just off the top of my head.

Some people have a tendency to overuse words. I, for one, completely overuse the word "obnoxious" when describing things. I know that I do, but my mouth can't help itself.

"Sexy" might just be the 11th Doctor's thing.

i agree with Rojo, i went through a bad phase of calling people i didn't like 'muppets' a lot. i still do it just not as much. i also say things are 'chaff' a lot. last one is thanks to my old assistant manager.

i also use 'numpties' a fair bit...

I have no problem with the Doctor calling things sexy. I do have a problem with people continuously now referring to the TARDIS as "Sexy" (as in a proper name). I thought the TARDIS worked just fine as a name before. While it was a cute joke, I don't think people need to perpetuate that joke in serious situations.

Ah, so you're the other one? ;) I knew about Omaha, and I heard rumors there was another one :guffaw:

I'm actually fond of all the Doctors personally. Many have their Doctors they dislike (Colin and Sylvester McCoy being popular ones for this category), but, I like them both as much as I like the rest

Yeah, but you dont have a team of writers deciding what you say. Like I said, its not really the fact that he repeats himself as much as the fact that I percieve 'sexy' as just trying to make the show look hip and unusual, it doesnt do that anymore.

I agree with bringing back Christopher Ecclestone. I liked Matt Smith at first, but hes turned into just a Tennant replacement.

Eh, I guess I don't see it that way. "Sexy" is just another word.
