Not jealous at all...

Nope, not one bit...
You can still get new editions on Amazon.
I got mine years ago when they first came out from 1978 to '82.
Was an avid Sci-Fi book hunter almost daily, at a WALDEN BOOKS in a Mall where I worked back then.
(at Montgomery Ward's)

I recall one (I think) at my school library in the 90s. I do intend to pick them up at some point. :D

My library of hardcover/Paperback Sci-Fi books is rather large.
I have so many in plastic boxes I haven't looked at in years.
Started collecting in my teens.

Orientation corrected. These ships don't seem very big, I'm thinking around the size of the Scout Ship from TNG length wise.

if they were oriented on the vertical axis they almost but not quite look like Orion ships from ENT

I like it. It reminds me somewhat of the Valdore Warbirds in NEM with echoes - at least in the embossed hull plating showing feathers - of the 22nd century Bird-of-Prey seen in ENT and likely used in the Earth-Romulan War. It's a good design.

From the cover of "The Halcyon Drift' of the Starpilot Grainger series by Brian Stableford. Quite an underrated series from the early 197Os. The main character is a cyborg space trader pilot unhappy about having an alien symbiote in his head and a massive debt from being rescued that he has to pay off by being pilot of said ship. the ship itself is pretty fast and nimble product of a synthesis of human and alien design. One of my favorites, really.
