I don't think it was clear enough.
I guess it is a mileage may vary type of situation.

And it was a change not made by the original designer. If I were Eaves I'd be pretty damn livid that someone tampered with my design.Yeah... I really wish they hadn’t done that. With all the other things that was done to it, it’s amazing how that one little change fucked up the whole thing.

Well, yes, maybe. It still a rotten thing to do, his name is tied to that design, and people will assume he was responsible of it. I have worked as professional illustrator, and if my art was mutilated without my permission I would not be amused. If they don't like, they don't need to use it and they can hire someone else.He probably understands that is part of working for a Hollywood IP.

Nope.E is better than D or C.
E is better than D or C.
The B is much better than the E.
Yup.Nope.
The E looks like belongs in space. Not even close. The E looks like someone stole parts from other prominent ships, then stomped on it. I'll take the Enterprise-D and either version of the C every day of the week.
The E looks like belongs in space.
That's fairWell, I don't think there are really any Trek ships that look like they "belong in space", not even Jefferies original.
You see about 20 of them in the episode.I don't even know what a Discovery shuttle looks like tbh.
That's fair
I mean, let's be fair space ship design is rather strange...
