The Mars class with its triangular primary hull looks like it could be a descendant of the Wells class
They made a mistake in the Bird of prey Design. I’d like them to bring this design back in Strange New Worlds with some alterations (like paint the whole thing gray and get rid of useless spikes and jagged edge) ALONGSIDE a Bird of Prey from the main lineage. But most of all fix this mistake. Please fix this mistake.
(It’s on the right side of the wing , near where the wing joins up with the head there is a weird spiky mess)

My hope is that we start seeing ships (both Federation and Klingon) that evoke more of the TOS aesthetic than DSC season 1.
I wouldn't hold my breath. SNW is the return to form for Star Trek style. That means Klingons.
Same. Now, I am admittedly not one for all the details but I still didn't see any particular issue. Of course, I am also someone who likes the Bird of Prey from Discovery so there is that too.
There is a hole is the design where they put a bunch of spikes in a random pattern that looks like a five year old drew that part of the ship!
So...it's Goth? They bought it at Hot Topic? It was designed by D&D players? Yeah, that's not five year old design work. That's pretty standard fantasy type design.

I don't like the Enterprise J or the Ambassador Class, as well as find the Defiant, Sabre and Centaur questionable. So, not all the ugly ones
I did. I stand by what I wrote. I work with five year olds and do art with them.
And I'm sure they could do a better job than the ship artists if they were tasked with that section of the ship. The ship is so detailed and refined save for that one tiny section, which isn't consistent with the rest of the ship. Cool. I don't see it as a mistake and no they could not design better ships Good grief.
WHY IS THERE A HOLE IN THE SHIP AND WHY DOES THE GAP LOOK LIKE ITS FILLED WITH MY MESSY UNCOMBED HAIR? For Q's sake why the imperfection?
Because there is no need for perfection.
But no other ship in the entirety of Star Trek including most of Discovery has an imperfection this freaking ugly
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In this instance this imprefection has to be searched for to be seen.
I'll take the imperfection over genetic ships of the week.
