Starship design history in light of Discovery

took this at the paley center saturday, not sure if its a concept painting or a final render, but looked really good to me:

Holy shit I love it! GIMME MOAR!
That's a rendering of the model, not some concept art. God, I wish we got a shot like this on the show. Now I'm even more sad they left the 23rd century.:sigh:

Hell, I actually really like the engines as well. They look more alien, but still proper "Klingon" to me.

Yep! Now THAT's a Klingon ship. Eaglemoss, get your asses to Mars with this one!
I will be very surprised if they dont, should get at least a D7 and a final version of the Enterprise from the season 2 finale.

The only question is what size they will be.

A nice 12" D7 and Enterprise would be ideal assuming that the D7 is scaled up to be on par with the Enterprise, a 12" Discovery wouldnt be a bad thing either.

Funny really that even in this thread the Klingon D7 and Enterprise has overshadowed the Discovery, I almost forgot to add it above.

Speaks volumes really doesnt it.

a what now?
After the changes and repairs that were made whatever they may have been.

A model of the version we saw at the end of the Discovery S2 finale.

The one without all the damage obviously.

i’m all for another go at the discovery-prise by eaglemoss because the current ones are flawed. but i thought the ship was identical from the beginning of the season to the end.
I thought they made changes to it prior to the fight with Control.

I havent looked myself as that sort of thing isnt a big issue to me.

If its the same then I suppose it doesnt matter, must admit I am not a model collector myself but its a shame the Eaglemoss models are not up to snuff.

They should release some quality model kits in that case, bit surprised they havent already done so.

Ahhhhhh
The nacelles are growing on me.
I don't think that is the final design though, the neck shape doesn't match what we got. Might just be the angle.

Found more concept art on Facebook. You can spot the familiar Klingon logo on the main body. Tyler did say it displayed one in the dialogue lol

"A final version from the season finale"... Missing half the saucer, was my first thought.

A final version of the Shenzhou would also be cool.

I do like it when we get close up shots of the two ships together like the one posted at the bottom, it helps with scaling and comparisons plus you can almost see the little Klingons waving through the windows.

The devil is in the details after all.

In fact I would say the bottom picture is desktop wallpaper worthy.

Found another peice of concept art on Facebook, doesn't seem to be final, the neck is a lot wider than the final version

they’re from the TrekYards Facebook page.

I don’t follow it, but I knew if any page might have images, it would be one dedicated to starships.

What I posted was all they had of the D7. But there are pictures of bunch of the costumes and props as well, and a concept peice from the final battle

Interesting that they have the season one bat'leth on exhibit, and not the new one from the Boreth episode.
