OK, I understand wanting to make her look younger for the show, but...It's amazing what you can find on the internet...

I truly hope they stop hiding this lovely young woman in awful clothes.

In terms of training, at least something defensive with evasion and rolls. She's there for support, recon, detailed info, on the spot hackling, and analysis. Some Judo/Aikido and she's not a monster in a fight, but at least able to get away from a fight. Or at least let her have an outfit that keeps her out of peril. They just need to find a balance and not put her in something skin tight and overly sexualised.
Maybe they could even use it in storyline - becoming the new Dr Midnite gives Beth more confidence in herself.
When they had the big fight in the cafeteria I felt it was pity they had Beth being there and looking useless.
Have her start to train more. She doesn't have to match Courtney or Yolanda in the combat states but something more then being a lump on a log.
I agree. I think that Sylvester, Artemis, Sportsmaster, and Tigress were mainly there to set up their roles next season. It's taken care of, the show can just get on immediately with the new dynamic.I agree that there are many legit complaints about the finale, and the season as a whole, but, ultimately, literally a million characters showed up in this finale and every one who appeared I felt happy to see them because I like them all. So I enjoyed it.
I'm thinking the same, especially with Nurse Love and Mr. Bones both mentioning Jenny and Todd. One more thought after a rewatch. That black shadow phlegm that snuck into Jennie's ring didn't make an appearance in the finale. I'm leaning towards it having something to do with Obsidian next season.
Stargirl: Frenemies in 2022.
I was wondering who Keith David was playing. I still don’t know so I’ll just call him Spawn for now.![]()
I'm kind of hoping this will lead to Cameron Chase showing up. I'm a big fan of her, and I think she's one of the most underrated and underused characters in DC.
Blackout bombs. Chuck's go to back in the day.
Your thought process is amazing. As it’s like a maze.Is a there a racial connotation there that the producers might be trying to avoid?
The black girl has black light, that makes every one black.
I read "Cameron Chase" and immediately thought of House.Emma Caulfield played a version of Cameron Chase in a season 1 Supergirl episode, but she was an FBI agent rather than a DEO agent, and she never returned. I always felt that was a missed opportunity.

It was also pre-Crisis, so easy enough to redo. Or just have her change jobs since.
Well, we're talking about Stargirl here, so it would be an alternate-Earth version anyway.
What is interesting is that Bones' curiousity about meta-humans, as well as his apparently heading a larger operation would suggest it to be the Director of the DEO from the 90s Cameron Chase book onward, but it was the previous Helix version that had a connection to the JSA and Infinity Inc., and Nurse Love is probably named for Dr. Love who created Bones (and the rest of Helix).
Hmmm...would they get the same actress, I wonder.
I didn't know they were separate characters.

The DC Wiki says it's the same character in different jobs. https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Mister_Bones_(New_Earth)
... I'd guess this version is an amalgamation of both versions (who, it's also worth remembering, is the same character at different stages in life).
