He's got a Anthony Fremont vibe.Seriously though, that kid playing Eclipso is so creepy.

Good point! Thanks.Traditionally, McNider is blind in the light but can see clearly in the dark. So far we've only seen him in the Shadowlands and in a relatively dark movie theater.
To quote our favourite Vulcan, "Interesting."I'm guessing the other Shade reading is either an Eclipso trap or maybe... Todd?
First of all, stop calling me "Shirley." Secondly you need to go back and watch at least a few Hitchcock films. Suspense is created by the situation of the character we are currently watching, even if they only have a 60 second existence in the story. Cindy certainly qualifies as someone we were watching.Surely our emotional engagement with the characters matters more than dispassionate calculations of probability
Honestly, I have more interest and attachment to Cindy then McNider for sure. I'm not arguing that isn't the better way to do it, just suggesting there may be some value in subverting the typical structure on occasion. In this particular occasion though, I think it's especially bad as it would be in more character for Courtney to wait for the others as previously mentioned.Surely our emotional engagement with the characters matters more than dispassionate calculations of probability, though. I mean, would we really care if Cindy didn't get out? With Courtney or Charles, even if we know objectively that they'll probably get out, surely it matters more to us that they get out, so it's still an anticlimax to save Cindy for last.

I like that they do have "attachments" but that isn't the story. But Beth, Pat, and the Shade all have attachments to McNider, so if we care about any of them, that gives us reason to care about whether they get McNider back.
As a viewer, the most we would expect is that Courtney remain trapped for another episode. She's the star--her contract is not in danger and she's not going to disappear.
I still find this an artificial objection. Like I said, as viewers, we objectively know that none of this is happening at all, that it's just scripted lines delivered by actors on a set months ago and there is no real danger. The only reason we care at all is because we suspend disbelief about "what we know" and choose to buy into the immediacy of the illusion. So I don't understand the arbitrary selectiveness of choosing to suspend disbelief that these characters and their conflicts exist at all while refusing to suspend disbelief about the uncertainty of their survival. It's a self-contradictory argument.
The Ted Knight Starman was my favorite Earth 2 hero when I was a kid.
The hospital, the nurse's name and of course Mr. Bones are references to Infinity Inc's foes The Helix.

OHPLEEZENOIf we see a live action Kritter...
DOesn't any else (definitely not Christopher) think this season did a good job of creating a setting that is Covid friendly (for the production crew) but the rest of us not noticing it?
I think that his car will actually be the Star Rocket Racer when the timing is appropriate. Or at least I hope so.OK, so did you guys REALLY think that Pat was JUST into vintage cars? You didn't think any of that might be a hint of WHEN he was truly from?
This episode got me wondering if something is up with Cindy, but I am going with the idea that the show is not giving her a total change of personality--she's still not "good". It looks like her speech to Courtney will play into Eclipso's plan, so even if Cindy is not working for him consciously, I am inclined to believe Eclipso let her leave the shadow realm because he knew that she would sow darkness for him.
