Stargate: The Mentalist

Surprised no one commented. But it was nice to see Chris Judge and Jay Acovone getting some work. Last Thursday's The Mentalist had them guesting. Jay had a scene as a casino owner. He looks healthy I suppose but he's looking pretty senior citizen. Chris had more scenes in a smaller role, the chief of security for the casino. He's looking very good.

Wow, he really is looking a little long in the tooth. I suppose "Children of the Gods" was 15 years ago.

If you want to see an example of aging all you have to do is watch RDA in season 1 of SG-1 and then his SGU appearances.

Well, he went from being a semi-plausible action star in his late 40s to a desk-bound general in his 60s. It's not a great genre for getting old (unless, like Stallone, you have access to steroids).

I think his deterioration has more do with the foot operation he had, and just not giving a fuck any more really. Later on in Stargate Mallozzi hinted that RDA just prices himself out of the market for the most part, and they could commission several space battles for the amount of money it would cost them to get him on board. He was always phoning it in towards the end anyway, they should probably of kept their cash in their pockets.

I'm starting to wonder if The Mentalist films in Vancouver?

Last night, David DeLuise, Pete Shanahan himself, guested as a drunken high school counselor.

Sad to hear that. Sounds like the wry cut-up has become a sorry self-serving schmuck. He's as fat in the neck as Al Gore and Alec Baldwin, but nowhere near the same clout.

I saw him the other day in an old CSI episode as a guy who hated his landlord so much he snot-rocketed blood all over the walls of his apartment.
