I wonder if the recent disappointing news about SFA makes any future novels more likely, or less likely?
We can hope for a short story anthology. And I would have liked to have read one that either of you wrote.
Probably less likely. Given the long lead time needed to produce new novels, the fact that the end of a parent series tends to reduce its tie-in sales, and the fact that there currently aren't any SFA novels in the pipeline (that I know of), would all make me skeptical of the likelihood of SFA novels in the immediate future.
And I would have liked to have read one that either of you wrote.

Soooooo... we might get to see these kids graduate in novels or comics? Maybe?
Wait what‽Well, we at least have an additional Season One "episode" coming up from next month.
We do know SFA comics are happening, so I imagine IDW might handle any potential SFA post-finale content? After all, they have announced a post-Picard finale comic series set aboard the Enterprise G.Although the answer doesn't really make me happy, I do appreciate the response. Thank you.
Same here.
I actually hope for more, but at the very least, I was hoping
that if the rumours were true, and the next season ends on a cliffhanger, and they aren't able to go back and shoot new scenes to provide some kind of resolution, that maybe we could get a novel that resolves the cliffhanger.
But I guess maybe their cheapest solution would be to just stick some text at the end of the episode to wrap it up. "Cadet Caleb Myr never returned home", or somesuch.
I guess we'll see how it shakes out.![]()
