This kind of premise has been hugely unpopular not just by me but a massive amount of people generally and on this particular site. I know its anecdotal.
One thing I can say about the show even not seeing it yet; the uniforms look like someone who hasn't tucked their shirt into their pants properly and one part of the shirt is hanging out.
Who cares if it is popular? I've wanted an Academy series since I was 10. That wish hasn't ever changes. If people don't like it that's fine, but to quote Picard, "Let it be damned for what it is" not imagined slights through a lens of bitterness.

They could do a spinoff about the Vulcan Science Academy and call it Ni'vardale. The class play could be a Vulcan twist on Peter Pan - everyone goes to Ni'var-Ni'var Land.

Heaven forbid the franchise makes a show aimed at an audience that isn't older than 30.
PRO would never have happened, and next to SNW that show is as good as streaming Trek can get.
